Which state? Start with the board of nursing requirements for licensing as s registered nurse by examination as an IEN. Not all states require demonstration of English language proficiency via TOEFL.
You are not likely to secure a job offer without a US nursing license.
1. Determine state you wish to live & work as a nurse
2 if required by the board of nursing , obtain CES report from CGFNS.
3. apply for a nursing license by examination as an IEN.
4 if needed pass TOEFL or IELTS
5 pass NCLEX & obtain RN license
5. Secure a job offer
6 obtain visa screen certification from CGFNS (they can use the info from the CES)
7 apply for TN visa
8 obtain social security number once visa issued
Visas for Canadian and Mexican NAFTA Professional Workers
Thanks for you're answer! I will like to work in California or Arizona! Whichever will be more likely to higher me! Also sorry so If I were to pass everything and have it in order if I don't get a job offer I lose everything? Also I always read nurses from phillipines, England or English speaking countries move to the states but never from Mexico, is it really a possibility?

For TN you must have a employer. We have had a couple of people from Mexico post and there is no reason not to get employment as long as you meet requirements
You will not be able to get a CA license without a valid social security number. Your application will be rejected. Consider TX also.
You won't lose your license if you don't have a job offer you just won't be eligible to get a TN visa without a job offer.
Thanks for all you're answers, I'm still confused in reading that most states don't let get a license unless you have a social security number but does the TN visa give you one?
Once you get the TN visa you are eligible to apply for a SSN as an SSN is needed to work.
you're awesome justbeachynurse!!! everyday im finding out new things im a little confused with the cgfns certification and the visa screen??? is it not the same thing??? once you have the cgfns certification you have passed the screen? and its different cost for each? this is really expensive!!! im adding around to be all 1500 dollars, thats worth about 6 months of pay for me.
CGFNS certification is an exam and not many states require it. CES is a report with CGFNS that breaks down your transcripts for the BON to review and VSC is different again and you require a pass in either certification or NCLEX but CGFNS can use any documents already received you just need to arrange forward results from the state pass in NCLEX
