TN NCLEX process

U.S.A. Tennessee

I just graduated and I've already started the pre registration for the NCLEX required through our school (application, passport, background check, etc..) I also know that you must register and pay $200 for the NCLEX registration. However, once this is done do you then receive the ATT and how long does that usually take to receive? And then do you choose a date to test and how far in advance is it usually set? After testing how long does it take to receive results? Thanks:yeah:

what state did u apply? in my case, i applied for nclex for vermont. i paid the $200 online. then pearsonvue will give u a candidate id number thru email. you email or send the candidate id number via email or postcard. I send mine thru email and after a few hours I received my ATT. I don't know how long with the postcard. Once you receive your ATT, the validity date is for 90 days, and the date starts tomorrow. for example. you received your att today january 24. The dates that you will be choosing from will be january 25 - april 25. Hope this helps.

Ok so getting the ATT takes bout a week or two... then the longest part is scheduling the exam which could be another 2, 3, even 4 weeks later... I graduated in August but didn't take the NCLEX til October... so does that give you an idea... since there are only 2 or 3 (Memphis and Nashville I know for sure but I think someone told me there is one in Knoxville... idk) test sites you are competing with other fields... MDs, pharm, as well other nurses to get available test dates so... but you can sign up to get your results online for a fee after 72 hours... or you can wait the upto 4 week waiting period from the mail... (it took mine roughly 2 weeks to come back...

I registered 2 weeks ago and am still waiting to get my confirmation that I can schedule my test. I check my email everyday just hoping that it is there. Also if you plan to take it in West Tn. than from what I hear the wait can be pretty long to even get in to take the test. Take me for example I will have to take mine in Memphis. That means that all those students in that area will be trying to get in to take the test. That's a lot of nursing schools with a whole bunch of students. Gives me more time to study though.
