As amazing as it is, it's equally discouraging. I am hoping that Spring opens up a tad. . . as ------ said to me "life happens" and people end up declining. . . so we will see ! ! !

Some of the people I talked to at WNC were still hoping to get in at TMCC. If it helps any; I would have declined Spring and gone to WNC, so there may be others in the same position...

So Lauraa you are in the Fall class? That makes sense... Why wait a semester to go to TMCC if you can start WNC in the fall. I think that's good news for you Bio...

I am in the Fall class. I feel bad taking a spot there, but I have young kids and need to be closer to Truckee. I feel better knowing someone got an acceptance letter to WNC this week! :rolleyes:

Lauraa you did what's right for your family and there is NO reason to feel bad for that. If you work your tail off to get where you're going, there shouldn't be any regrets :0)

I agree, you earned your spot!! You were just lucky enough to have a choice :). For me spring is perfect, my son is very young and that gives me more time with him before mommy is gone/stressed all the time.

Funny how that works out.. My kids will both be in school until 4pm M-F for the first time. So the timing is right for me, too!

I went in today and was also told that everybody is accepting that has been offered a position. ------ was very apologetic that the 6.97 that I have that is usually just fine to get in was not this round. Sounds like they are considering making CNA and the medical terminology pre reqs for next year, which will be a year sooner than they had originally said. Blah!! I wish they hadn't let people in that were finishing their pre req's this spring, it would have been the way it should be.

Sorry, that is disappointment speaking.:nuke:

Thank you to everyone for all your informative posts. I applied for Fast Track and Traditional and think my score is a 7.15, although, I'm not exactly sure as I'm still not clear how the GPA is calculated and I took the Chemistry section with my HESI and don't know my exact score overall score. After reading everyones posts, I'm so worried about miscalculations! How busy was the office when you went to verify your scores? Did you have to wait long? I'm 38 weeks pregnant and really can't take time from work right now as I'll be on leave SO soon. I just don't want to drive all the way from South Reno on my lunch on Monday to find out there won't be time to find out what's going on and be even more discouraged. Also, doesn't everyone who has accepted still have to fulfill their background check, immunizations and confirm payment? Couldn't there still be hope for those of us on the list? Last year I remember rumors of people being accepted last minute that didn't even have their qualification done before the application date. Life does happen and I think while many are accepting, there's nothing to say their plans won't change. I guess just stay positive and keep hoping. Thanks for any feedback. Greatly appreciated.
