TJC (Tyler, TX) Nursing program

Published

Ill be applying to the TJC nursing program. They have a point system where the top students with the most points get into the program. Minimum to apply to the program is 94, with this semester ending, Ill have a total of 104, not including the HESI points (which can total 116, with 80 in reading, 75 in both science and math). So my question to you all, is for the people who enrolled at tjc, how many points did you have when you were accepted into the program?

Hello,

Just wanted to say good luck with your application.

I say apply as soon as you are eligible. I waited a semester to become 'core complete' to apply because I was at the minimum point level and was told I was unlikely to get accepted by the counselor. I applied the following semester and was accepted without issue. It turns out they lowered the point requirements because they didn't have enough applicants to fill seats the previous semester (I more than likely would have gotten in), and you can always get an alternate position and still get in since some people apply to multiple programs.

Regardless, good luck to you... you'll need it.
