My family and I are moving to titusville from a small town in iowa at the end of the month. I am a RN with 5+ years in pediatric home health as a LPN/RN. I also have 2 years during that time as a supervising RN (hiring, paperwork for the cases, scheduling etc). I should have my florida license soon. I am looking for advice on how to transition to hospital work and would also like to know a salary range (just a general idea is fine) for the area. Any recommendations on where to apply/not apply? I am really liking forward to our move! Thanks so much!
I can speak for Titusville, but can tell you that in my area of Florida (Jacksonville) new grad RNs make anywhere from $21-25/hr in the hospital setting. Obviously you have experience which would make it more than that. Sorry I can't be of more help Best of luck with the move!
Hey. As soon as you get your Florida Liscense you shouldn't have any problem applying to the local hospital and getting a job. Just apply online and call the HR dept within a week. From what I'm told that area needs nurses still sit your in luck
Awesome! Thanks so much! I Got my license and have been putting in apps the last few days. Wasn't sure if I should call or if the hospitals look down on that like I'm bothering them. Thanks for the advice!
