Oh, boy.

I am one nervous pup right now. My physical paper is due this Thursday and I have done everything, drug test, background check, CPR, everything. I am just waiting on titers to come back to the Drs office. I had the blood drawn last Thursday and spoke with the Dr. this morning, and she is just waiting on a few more titers to come back. I asked if she thought it would be done by Thursday and she said she hoped for late this week. I then asked her if she could just fill out the form as much as she could and make a note that it's been done and we are waiting on a few titers and she pretty much said she couldn't do that. I have stressed to her a few times that this needs to be done by Thursday or my offer of acceptance will be rescinded if not turned in on Thursday. So I just called the lab and they just pushed me back to the drs. office. YIKES.

Anyways, just needed to vent and ask, how long do titers take to come back?

TIA

It is such a bummer that they put so much pressure on you about all this test. They don't even need all that stuff until you start clinicals which is about 6 weeks into the program. Make sure though that someone checks everything and they tell you that you have everything on file cause last year when I did it, they lost some of my stuff and I had to redo it. One of my classmates was held back a semester because his titers didn't came out positive and he didn't this to do the vaccines. Make sure you are very detailed oriented when it cames to turning stuff in, on time and to the right person and confirm everything.

Good luck with your first semester!:yeah:

I have one more ppd test

Not to sound dumb, but what does ppd stand for?

PPD is the tuberculin skin test, and the acronym is "purified protein derivative".
