Category 1: Please answer one of the following essay prompts.
1. Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure or setback. How did it affect you, and what lessons did you learn?
2. Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea. What prompted you to act? Would you make the same decision again?
Category 2: Please answer one of the following essay prompts.

2. Nursing is a service profession. What does this mean to you?
I believe I have decided on question number 2 in both categories. I wanted to speak about defiying the sterotypes (as I am a hispanic 1st generation to be the first in my family to graduate college), but I'm not sure if that is a good respnse to that question. In regards to the second question, I wanted to write about how I believe nursing is a service profession through the act of communication and how I have realized how vital and important that is as I have seen not being able to communicate to health professionals as I experienced this with my mother and her not being able to speak english. Im not sure if that is too much on my cultural background and/or heritage.
