in a review class for the nclex-pn that my school offered they really concentrated on breaking down the questions to pick out the right answer. they told us that for a lot of the questions you dont really need to know the right answer off the bat but that knowing how to break down the question will help you pick the right answer. i wanted to see what others thought and see if anyone else has any tips in this area. im so used to taking exams where i either knew the correct answer or i didnt just by reading the question once so the nclex has me a little dis-cun-bob-ulated when it comes to answering the questions lol.

The most Important tip: go with your gut, do not change your answers.
Also,
Look for the odd man out. Example:
Which symptoms is most often associated with infection in the adult client
1. Decreased respirations
2. Decreased bowel sounds
3. Increased heart rate
4. Decreased activity level
See the odd man out?
