Timeline for endorsing RN license to CA

U.S.A. California

I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Wow, SailorWifey, it sounds like the "new" system has slowed things down quite a bit. Or maybe it was because of Christmas? I'll still hope for less time but breath is not held.:wacky:

time2go, has the board of nursing cashed your check yet? I sent most of my stuff in about two weeks ago, but I too did fingerprint cards because I live in Tennessee. I am obsessively checking my bank account, email, mail, CBN website, etc, but no news! I just wanted to chat with someone who started around the time I did so I don't get too freaked about all this :)

Yes, prooxfordcomma, they have cashed my check. Don't remember the exact date but seems like it was last week. I check twice a day too. I have job but no CA license yet. I did Livescan while I was in CA because logic says that should be quicker (HAHA). Oh well; all we can do is wait.

Ooh okay thanks for letting me know! I'm glad there's someone else on this site who is going through this frustrating process at the same time I am :)

I sent in my application by endorsement, fees, and finger print card on March 25th. I'm applying for a temp license just in case because I want to be able to work by the end of May (I'm a travel RN). I had contacted my school for my transcripts and used Nursys to verify my current license (in SC) back in February. I'm hoping that's enough time to at least get the temp license and that the Nursys verification doesn't expire first (I read after the fact that you should wait until your application is submitted before contacting Nursys since it's only good for 90 days). Has anyone who applied in February gotten their licenses yet?

sunripn...I sent in all the same stuff as you on Feb 4th except I was in CA for a week and used Livescan for fingerprints. Went to school and did NCLEX in So Dakota. My check was cashed 2/18 and I'm still waiting. Not even a temp license yet. Closing in on the 2 month mark :/

yuck! Looks like I may have to take another assignment with my compact license...

I mailed all of my items including paper fingerprint card (that I got from local police station because BON took forever) Feb 18, check was cashed March 18, and my application now shows endorsement "pending" on Breeze. At this point, I have no clue if my fingerprint card will go through ok. I will be in California April 19-23 so hopefully I can find out beforehand if I need to do livescan while I'm there. If I had known I was making this trip I would have just waited.

I'm jealous that you are already showing a pending.

cecilbee1, we are on almost exactly the same timeline! I asked the BON for cards in JANUARY but still hadn't gotten them a month later so i just went to the police station. I sent my stuff feb 18, check cashed march 21, and now my application says pending as well! this wait is such a pain. let me know if you hear anything about it! good to know there are a couple other people dealing with this right now!

Prooxfordcomma that's awesome! The CBON website now says they are conducting initial evaluations on applications for which payment was cashiered in March. Well that's us! Seems like things are moving along because just a few days ago they were working on February. I'll definitely keep you posted!

Time2go I'm jealous that you have a job lined up!;) You mailed yours in before us and did livescan, but your application isn't showing pending?
