Nursing Students School Programs

Hi everyone! I have yet to see a thread but I wanted to make a page for students applying to TCC 2018-2019. I'm applying for the August deadline which is less than a month away! I'm so nervous and I have yet to take my Hessi. Please feel welcome to be a part of the thread even if you're not applying to TCC yet for information or advice!

Yes I received an A in A&P 1, like I said I did not take A&P2, if TCC accepted my other classes then I would be able to apply with Microbiology and Ethics as well :( so basically I am apply with the bare minimum. I pray I will get at least a 90 on the test. Was it very heavy in A&P 1 or was it spaced out and more even? Thank you for the help! It's always appreciated!

You get to take each of the seven sections in whatever order you want. I just went straight down the list with no real game plan. A&P was maybe 27-30 questions which 25 are graded.

Hello!! I'm applying this go around also! I have a 4.0 gpa, taking a&p2 and ethics this fall semester, and micro in the spring. I didn't do as well as I was hoping in my hesi 81.14 . I really bombed my bio section for some reason. I thought I did well and then when I saw the score I about freaked!!! Fingers crossed that the score I got is in the top 45%

It should be fine, the last few application periods the average for 45th percentile averaged from 76-81, we shall see. the 4.0 will be competitive even without 2 of the co-requisite classes. I hope all 3 of us get in =)

Hi welcome! I believe you will be fine! Awesome job on your GPA!

I still have not taken the Hesi, I had to have it scheduled for the 14th! I'm nervous but hey the longer the wait = more time to study. I hope we all get in too!

And do they base GPA off overall GPA at TCC or just the classes that apply to the nursing program? I wanna say just for the nursing program but not all nursing schools are like that lol.

GPA is just curricular GPA. Any class that would count towards the degree. So pre-reqs, co-reqs, and nursing classes.

You will be fine for the HESI you have plenty of time to study. Just put the work in and the results will come.

Thank you Jarrett that means a lot!

Did you take the hesi yet?!

Good luck today on your HESI exam Wishing2BeRN I'm sure you'll do great =)

Hey guys! I actually made a post because I didn't notice one already made for this years program lol. Jarrett told me about this one :) Anyway, I'm super nervous about getting the results for this program. Sucks that we have to wait so long! I got an 85.43% on my HESI. I did great on all the subjects except for Chemistry. I have all my prerequisites done for this program. A&P 1 and 2 I have a B, Micro A, English 1&2 A, PSY 230 B, PSY 201 B ,PHI 220 A. Hopefully that's good enough.

Hi guys!! And welcome Pettini!! Those are awesome scores and grades, be proud! and I finished my Hesi today with an 87 point something! It wasn't that bad I just wish I had more time to study for it but I am happy with my score. It's great that more people are commenting on this thread, is anyone in here applying anywhere else this year as well just incase?
