Hey everyone! Upon reading some other nursing students post that applied last year to start TCCs nursing program this Spring 2017 I figured I would make one for us students applying for the spring 2018 start. I want to get into the evening/weekend cohort so I can stay with my young one during the day and then go to class when his dad comes home but I will be applying to all cohorts. I took chemistry at ODU and received a B and have also taken HS chemistry. Attended my open house session. I have A's in ENG 111&112. B in SDV 101. This semester I took A&P I, PSY 200 and PSY 235. I will most likely get a B in A&P and A's in both PSYs. I'm taking Micro over the summer and then A&P II and PHI 226 in the fall. Applications are due August 15th. I have not taken my HESI A2 yet I plan to do it at the end of July. I bought the book the school recommended for studying for it but have not studied it much yet I plan to once this semester is over. I am so nervous about applying. I've worked SO hard and I feel like it would be so devastating to not get in. I've read some other posts and I'm nervous about not having A&P II and PHI 226 completed by the time I apply. I hope they will look at my other grades and know I will do well in those classes too. I made this post so if other students find it we can encourage each other, answer each other's questions, and keep up with each others progess- after all we might be classmates in less than a year- might as well make friends now, am I right? :) anyhow, good luck to all of us!!!!
Has anyone received a letter yet? I see that they technically mailed on the 13th .... ahh... did anyone else get a call about their prerequisites being"accepted" they called me and said my JHU doesn't transfer like most others but JHU is a REPUTABLE school so they didn't know why but I think it's because you typically don't see the step down in education from university like JHU to CC but I can only take classes where the navy allows via moving us í ½í¸‘ So here I am ... just wondering ... I know today is Monday but maybe someone will get a letter today.... mail is pretty quick normally ... we usually see things in 3 BDs I'm hoping I hear tomorrow at least! GOOD LUCK!!
I never received a call at all. I transferred from a college in California. I met with my academic advisor and had my transcript evaluated as much as possible before submitting my application. I checked in after I had been enrolled past the drop deadline and everything transferred except my chemistry but I had completed micro already so it still checked the box on that. It's difficult being a military family so I understand your struggle. I hope we get the letters today too but regardless we should hear something this week! Good luck to you!
What time does everyone usually receive mail here during the day? Mine doesn't come until around 2-4 pm! I am hoping my acceptance or rejection letter (whichever it may be) will be properly delivered to my address. My mail and my neighbors mail has all been getting delivered to random homes in our neighborhood the past couple of days! Lord give me strength!!!

It's actually about 28. They save spots for nursing students that are re admitting to the program... for reasons like deaths and birth...
Each cohort is 32.
