Tidewater Community College Fall 2021

Published

Hi everybody. This forum is for friendly discussion for those who are applying to Tidewater community college's nursing program for fall 2021. Good luck!

From stories I’ve heard, ECPI is not worth it

Don't give up if it's really what you want. I feel like it would be better to do lvn and bridge in then get my RN at ecpi. Just my opinion.

This is my third time applying, I'm hoping this is it for me. If not I may study for the HESI again. I got an 88 or 86 I think.

Was statistics a pre-req for this application period? I thought so but maybe not, if not what math was ?

Never give up if this is your dream, some school is going to be lucky to have you and you lucky to have them!

Specializes in Pharmacy Technician.

I'm going to retake Microbiology this Summer and apply again for next Spring. I have also been thinking about taking a CNA course buy IDK.

Brianna...you make more as a Pharmacy Technician then a CNA does. Just so you know. Most places around here don't pay CNA's more than $13.75 and with no experience it is hard to find good jobs.

I don't understand why this program doesn't have a location at both VB campus and Portsmouth Campus. RNs are needed. If they accepted 60 each year and 60 at each campus...that would be 120 people. Chances would go up so much. They really need to reevaluate the program. I have come so far just to possibly get rejected:( I feel so worthless.

Also, how are you guys able to tell what is coming in your mail before you get your mail?

If you sign up for informed delivery with usps then you can view what's coming day the of.

I've been denied twice. Hoping this is my lucky time. Just look at what you can improve and if everything is already good then it's just a waiting game.

Good luck.

Wow I didn't know cnas made that little ?

Sadly we do ? even being a CNA for 4 1/2 years I can't get most places to go over 14$ an hour (some places do, but they are hard to get into)....and we do most of the work. When I was working in assisted living, I knew my residents more then the LPN in charge did. It was sad.

I'll have to go look up this informed delivery:) thanks! I hope you get in girl! Best of luck to everyone! I've keep telling myself that it is in God's hands not mine!

No way!! ??is it because you guys didn’t take co-req classes?? Don’t give up! When I got my denial letter there were categories on why I didn’t make it.

Someone like a week or 2 said if you get a white envelope, it’s a denial letter? Well I got one but I’m toooo scared to open it! ??

Yeah.... I’m sorry ? it’s my second time applying too and still freaking out about getting letters! If you don’t mind me asking ?What was the HESI cut off score for this cycle? I’m so worried about the cut off score ??

guys I got in!! ahhh
