Tidewater Community College Fall 2016 Cohort 1

Hi everyone! My name is Samantha. I created a thread for Cohort 1 students for the August 2016 start at Tidewater Community College's nursing program. Hope we can all get through this long summer and get ready to start the semester together :) I am so excited!

Yeah I have gotten everything finished except for the second PPD I get it placed tomorrow and I still need to upload everything. If you get your BLS completed at the heartlights CPR at Dimond springs Rd, it's a good class and you can sign up to take a class tomorrow if you like. They have a good schedule.

@Scoontz, I got my physical and vaccinations done at an urgent care since I don't have a PCP. I was able to pick up my paper the next day after they received my titter results. I took the schools CPR class last spring. As for the insurance, I have yet to get that...I would say try to get your CPR certification as soon as possible. I had to wait a few weeks to receive my CPR card in the mail.

Just signed up for the BLS class! I'm so excited that our orientation is only a week away. I wonder if we're assigned our clinical sites at the orientation as well since we'll be getting our schedules.
