Gouda Aphternooon!
I have decided that Nannie's bowel problem is chronic megacolon. I diagnosed it using my super-xray-vision. The lower bowel is not meant to hold clay-like, impacted stool the size of a Campbell's Soup can! But it is what it is. SiL is convinced the Activia yogurt will help, but so far, there have been no observable changes. I will keep giving Nannie the Activia, regardless. IMHO the containers of Activia are too small. She usually eats yogurt from a larger cup anyway; maybe two Activias are called for? I know surgery is not the answer for her. Anyway, it is nothing 'new' for Nannie, and with her age, surgery would be a dubious proposition,
Time to get Nannie up. I'll be back in a while....
Lentil stew sounds good. I made an eMeals recipe for black bean soup that turned out very chili-like. It was good, just not exactly what I expected.
A couple of years ago I bought a blind for the dining room window and Hubs decided to install it as a birthday surprise for me. He nearly ruined it but managed to salvage it when he realized how much it would cost to replace. He is easily frustrated, too. The cats like to slip behind that blind and they've caused a corner to come unsewn. I need to fix that.
Hubs says he "shoots himself in the foot" a lot. Example: someone on Facebook told him that in the video he posted of the new mower, it sounded like only one cylinder was firing. So he took it apart to try to determine if that was true. Removed a spark plug and managed to ruin the threads ... he was able to get a tap (?) to correct the threads and all is well but he was afraid he was going to have to replace the head.
Gotta go. Will check back later.
G'day!
Was just reading an email I got from the Florida Department of Health that was anti-vaccine. Apparently the rate of getting boosters here is <1%. I noticed that when I admit patients and pull over their records and no one has gotten a booster since 2021. Shame. Apparently our rates of infection are declining after a Summer surge.
Work was okay and busy. Same o. One of the night nurses after report said "I don't feel good". Turns out her BP was tanking to the 60's and off to the ER she went. We stole a nurse from another unit. Hate when that happens. Hopefully she's okay.

Work was somewhat busy yesterday but not bad, by the end of the day things had quieted down. Rest of the day was pretty quiet too, went out to run some errands after work
Today have 1 short and 1 hopefully short meeting at work, so hopefully it won't be too crazy. If I have time tonight I want to make a broccoli salad for the potluck with the gay group tomorrow
Will be another warmer day in the upper 80s
