Hi Tweety

Stars it does sound like you've had a productive day

NJ22 my parents once took a Rhine cruise in Germany

Dianah I don't  think I've heard of the Little Murders series

Work was still fairly busy yesterday,  although again not nearly as busy as Monday.  Hopefully it will be a bit quieter today or tomorrow

After work did the grocery shopping and the laundry. There was a vestry meeting at church but decided to skip as I was too tired they way work has been.  Thankfully my term ends at the end of the year

Nothing going on today, counseling during lunch and then exercise after work

Will be a bit cooler today, in the mid 70s.  Think we're finally getting into fall weather

Good morning all!

We are up and at 'em here.  Dh has fed the cats, and I will soon get "ready to go," as he has another f/u appt today.  Then we have a couple errands to run, and should be home in the early afternoon.  Weather has been very nice, like 81 degrees, clear skies.  Not the oppressive Summer heat!  But, of course, October is coming, with cooler evenings.

Bell pepper plant is going crazy, but not so much the tomatoes.  There are a few tomatoes but they are very slowly ripening.  Lots of height to the plant but most blooms are 'way at the top.  Dh thinks it doesn't get enough sun, getting shaded by twining amongst the hibiscus plant.  I'm thinking, for next year, I may trim the plants so they stay lower to the ground, and make more of a bush than a tree effect.  I want them to put their efforts into the fruits, not just growing tall.  Then again, I am such a beginner at gardening, I may be totally off-base!

Hope you all have a good day.

Yo!

There was another tremendous verbal fight 'twixt hubby and Nannie last night, with Nannie absolutely refusing to go to bed. She even took part of her shoulder wrap and tried to hit him with it. So, after about 20 minutes I got tired of listening to it, and just took my stuff and went upstairs. He came up a while later and said he had left Nannie in her recliner, turned off the TV and the lights in the den (the bathroom light is always on, and she has a nightlight in her bedroom) and said she could go to bed at 4 AM for all he cared. We checked on her a while later and she was still in her recliner, but at some point she scooted out of her chair and went to her bedroom. I think she laid on top of her blankets and sheets all night. I felt like telling her that she'll have to sleep in her wet bed tonight, but I didn't say anything. I have had to strip her bed three times this week to wash the pee out of the bed stuff. What's the point of having all those things to keep her warm, and then laying on top of them? I told hubby he needs to call the woman over at St. Andrews to see if they had a bed yet. Of course, he hasn't called, and now he has gone back to bed, and it is 2 PM, so I guess no call will be made today. Same old, same old.

I have laundry to do (ours, not hers) and the dishes have to be washed. Mostly it is the glasses and silverware, but I had to wash a small glass and a spoon so Nannie could eat her breakfast. I have also cleaned off a good bit of my bedroom floor, but still have to hang up clean clothes. The trash needs to be gathered and brought out to the bins, because we (I) have to put out the trash to be picked up tomorrow morning.

I have fed the livestock because that same doe came to the yard searching for corn and she stood in the middle of the yard staring at the back door, and I know what that meant! Then a few crows flew down and started eating the corn, so the deer better come back soon to get their portions.

I am resting for a moment and then I will go back up to my room and do some more neatening up. I don't know if the dog will be brought up here this weekend or not, but I want the room to be ready when she gets here.

All for now----

MIGHT BE GETTING MY DOG TOMORROW NIGHT ?!!!!

Ooh, a new dog!!!
It not a very exciting day here, alas. No new dogs, yet. I cleaned the bathrooms, did a little gardening and a little grocery shopping. I have a meat loaf and baking potatoes in the oven. And I finished watching a mini series on Netflix about Bernie Madoff. Tomorrow I'm going to help dh with his cookout for the Food Bank volunteers. He can't say what I'll be doing, probably just watch him overcook the burgers. I hope the forecasted rain holds off.
our tomatoes were done last week. Every year with the first rain, they get blight and turn black. Dianah, I'm not sure you can keep a tomato short with pruning. Look for a "determinate" variety, like a Roma or plum tomato.
I didn't sleep well last night, I am so tired.
