Yesterday when I picked Nannie up at daycare, she came out of the large room where they gather, ranting and raving and carrying on like a madwoman. She was pointing fingers and yelling she wanted to kill the woman from the front desk who was escorting her out to me, and she was vehemently telling her 'problems' to some lady she didn't even know. I had a hard time getting her to hush and move forward to the door to go out to my car, but she wasn't having any of it until she had spewed out her venom. As far as I could figure out, Nannie was objecting to being rushed or hurried out and she didn't appreciate that, or the men who were helping others. The thing was there were suddenly a lot of the people getting picked up around that same time and the personnel was just trying to keep things moving.
BUT! The doctor's office just called and said the lab told them Nannie does NOT have a UTI. Great, Which just means the dementia is deepening. No offer for new or different meds
The pumpkins were here on the patio because SiL had bought them for the kids to carve faces in, but she couldn't fit Nannie's Walker in the back of the car with the four pumpkins in there too. So they are supposed to be picked up later today as well.
The Thursday CG will be here in 15 or 20 minutes which will 'free me' to go up and do the dishes, and whatever else I can get into. Yes, the laundry and the trash. Meanwhile I have to take the ever-patient Tinker out to walk (drag me) around the yard.
May be a quiet afternoon (fingers crossed) because Nannie is already starting to nod off.
OH! I forgot to mention that Tinker woke me up at 5:15 AM by barking and running up and down the stairs. GUESS WHO was on the floor again? She was walking in her socks and slipped and fell on the floor. No injuries, thank goodness. I called 911 for "the guys" to come over and pick her up off the floor and put back onto the bed. After they left, I was telling Nannie that she SHOULD NOT get up and walk in her stocking feet, and she could very well have broken something, in which case I'd have to have the ambulance take her to the ER. She smiled and made "blah-blah-blah" noises at me. I told her a nice operation on a broken hip and rehab at a nursing home would be fun.
CG is here, so I will stop now.
I agree - "Yikes" to 3 hours in a dental chair.
At least the pumpkins are explained. I bought one to put by the front door. We might or might not carve it. The hospital staff are having a pumpkin-decorating contest using fake pumpkins. I probably won't participate but Twin B might want to.
For some reason our cell phones are not working. I verified that T-Mobile got paid on Monday, so at least it isn't that!
Welp, Tinker most decidedly does NOT like the shredder's sound! I had to give up after about 5 minutes. I'll do a little more of it tomorrow when Nannie is at daycare. and hopefully Tinker will get accustomed to it as I have a LOT of stuff to shred. Or I can close her down in the den, maybe, and just keep at it. But, in the meantime, I can still pull stuff out of the envelopes, and cut the names, addresses, and other identifying features out. My theory is that if I bring a bagful of those snippets over to pay for them to be shredded, it won't cost near as much as if I just trundled a huge bag over for them to shred. I haven't heard or read of any free shredding trucks being anywhere lately, but wouldn't it be nice if a shredding 'event' is suddenly available? But not if it is the city of Charlotte; I will always avoid driving there if at all possible. Not only are all their stupid construction projects still happening everywhere there, screwing up traffic, but the crime and shootings stories just cover up the news every day, and I don't care to take any chances by going there! And to think I used to live in Boston and Cambridge and Nashville (the 'big' cities!) and never once had or happened upon a crime problem......Well, but those were different years without so many guns and 'perps' roaming around looking to cause trouble for fun. Ah me, what a world, what a world.
Good evening.
Work was uneventful. Didn't get report form night shift as they had no charge so had to piece together stuff. Wound up having 9 discharges and about 7 admissions.
Got notice that I'm called for an "unsworn statement" from a lawyer representing a patient I took care of about year ago whom I don't remember at all. My hospital's lawyer will meet with me the hour before I am interviewed and let me know what it what. It won't be until mid-December, so I have all this time to worry about it.

Work was pretty much calm, nothing new. Only excitement came when I found out a patient needed transportation to a surgery today. Bit of a late notice, but got transportation set up. Then the transportation company cancelled it. Made a bunch of calls and found it was cancelled in error and had it reinstated.
Rest of the day was calm, just exercised and relaxed
Have the next 2 days off. Will do bird watching this morning. Will later visit my old neighborhood, will go to a conservancy and might do a self guided architectural walking tour. And stop at a Moroccan restaurant
Going to be a bit warmer today, up to 70
