NJ22 thanks for sharing the photo

Stars glad you had a quieter day today

Tweety hope you next shift is quieter

Dianah that is awfully warm for March

Work was a bit busier than expected, although still not bad.  Had time to complete another CEU.  After work went to a Mexican restaurant with the gay group.  Had a few no shows but most people did show up.  Was a nice time, and the food was quite good, although I would have preferred not to be at the end of the table, as it makes conversation more difficult

Today hopefully will be another calm day at work.  Have a Zoom meeting after work and will exercise but otherwise should be fairly quiet

Will be in the mid 50s, with rain expected this morning and tonight too I think

IMG_0794.thumb.jpeg.2ba8c9d72c9b34e5a7d44f054ba3faf2.jpegWe did a lot of walking today, over rough cobblestones. We learned that the city of Ghent was once the second largest city in Europe. They had huge textile mills, for wool initially, then cotton. Now themajor industry is Volvo cars, and universities.

We toured the cathedral that houses the famous altarpiece of Ghent. It was featured in the movie "Monument Men". It didn't photograph well because it's behind glass, so here is a picture of some of the stained glass.

j22 ~ What an elaborate stained glass window! Beautiful photo! Wish I was there with y'all! *sigh*

Thursday again, yup, that means gathering all the trash and taking the bins to the end of the driveway for pick up tomorrow morning. And yes, the usual dirty dishes have somehow collected and multiplied in the sink. Gawd help me if I jinx myself for saying this before I get Nannie up, but I don't think I have any laundry to wash! And I am not entirely sure if Chatty CG is coming today or not, but it is time for her to get here, though sometimes her clock/watch is about 15 minutes behind, so if she comes, it won't be as soon as I would like!

So, yesterday Jersey Mike's was going to give ALL of their profits from Wednesday to charities, so I got a sub sandwich for me and Nannie. It was fairly tasteless, but as my son-in-law often says, "It filled a hole." However, I prolly won't be going back there regularly because, honestly, the Subway subs are better.

Now I must raise the Nannie from her bed and do the routine-thing with her. So, after that, and if/after Chatty CG gets here, I will go back up to my room and MAYBE I will put away clean and folded clothes that have been sitting in the basket for more than a few days. Maybe.

Anyway, nothing to say or grouse about (yet), so I'm signing out for now....

Clean clothes remain folded in the laundry baskets. Chatty CG came at 1:30 PM. I was about ready to give up on her, when she walked around the corner to the back door. I went out to Harris-Teeter for a few items. Went to Food-Lion for the things I can't get at Harris-Teeter. Called my service guy at KIA and got an appt for new tires on Monday at 1:30 PM. Got those groceries into the house. Washed the "fertile' dishes (well, they DO seem to multiply when I'm not paying attention!!) Chatty CG spent her last 1/2 hour here which would be overtime except for her being 1/2 hr late, telling us about her grand-dgt, son, and mother, all of whom were sick last week, and her stewpidd dgt was 'afraid' to give the youngster the antibiotics from the ER doctor, "in case she would become immune to them helping her if she got really sick later." OMG and DUH, the girl had a LOT of green snot for a week and 1/2, if that isn't sick enough to take antibiotics, I don't know what is! CG's mom has Graves disease and, um, something else and had to go to the ER twice. Her husband (CG's hubby) got sick, too "for the first time in 25 years," and has been a "big baby" for the past week. Then, In between subjects CG says, "But, anyway..." and starts in on the next thing. She won't be back next week, but expects that after that she will start the 'every Thursday' schedule.

But, ANYWAY!.....Nannie has showed me the sweatshirt she wore yesterday and I saved for her to wear again today....finally I had to tell her that ----yes, the color is pretty, and it's a nice sweatshirt....however, she has pointed it out to me about 12 times in an hour! Toomuchtoomuchtoomuch! Time for 1/2 Xanax, because even the women in the past three shows of House Hunters International are making me irritable. You don't go to a very old city in Europe and expect the real estate person to come up with a place with 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, big closets and close to restaurants and everything else and a big kitchen with all the bells and whistles, but at much higher prices than they are willing to pay. One woman kept saying she didn't like the color of the walls and the room seemed dark with so few windows. I'm shouting at the TV-----"Buy some PAINT! Buy a few LAMPS!" If I was a real estate person in Europe trying to deal with the full-blown and unreasonable expectations of an American couple, I would just take them to somewhere far away, where there was nothing, and leave them there.

okay Stars quitcher***in and go get that 1/2 tablet!

Good evening!

Nice picture J22.  Hope you have a great rest of your trip.

Publix grocery store has a crazy popular sub station.  People call them "Pub Subs" and they really are a good sub.
