Going to be in the mid-to-high 70's and partly cloudy. It's okay, even though I don't care for summertime weather....at least it isn't high 80;s or in the 90's. That's my one silver lining so far today. (w00t?)
I didn't post yesterday, because although SiL came and got Nannie early AND picked her up after day care, I was in quite a foul mood. Maybe next week I can spend ONE of my days 'off' for me, and not the usual dishes, trash and laundry.....which is what I've got going for me again today, Chatty CG was supposed to work this afternoon, but called SiL this morning, and cancelled her shift for today. Don't know why. But you know that I'm not too happy about another rug being yanked out from under me. NO REST FOR THE WEARY!
I was going to go out to the dealership to consult with my guy in the service dept and get him to look at the estimate he gave me, and the coupons I have for discount of some of the work needed, and give me an adjusted total.....then I will have a better idea of when I can get all new tires. I need to do it soon, as the low-tire light has been showing for 2 weeks, or since the last time they inflated that R rear tire....it never turned off then. Hate to put it on a card, but I may have to. 😫
Momo's vet appt is on Monday....due for a shot, nail trim, and another 6-pack of the monthly tick/flea med.
Otherwise, things are all the same old-same old.
Over and out.....or is it IN, for the remainder of the day? Ppfftt!
Hi. Taking a break for lunch, then going to work in my garden until I leave for a meeting. Dh is muttering because he left the baby gate open and the dogs got into something and somehow it's my fault because I didn't keep an eye on them.
I got a check from the insurance company for my deductible. I guess the other driver's insurance decided it wasn't my fault after all. Immediately followed by a phone call from the dealership to say dh's pickup needs $2900 of work on his transmission.
Nice, sunny day here, new snow on the foothills.
Nannie is conked out in her recliner with her head tipped over on her right shoulder in spite of how I try to support it. I still have not found the neck roll I had purchased for her....nobody knows where it is. I wonder if Nannie herself disappeared it? Don't know why she would because she really liked it, but she has been known to carry pillows or blankets around for no good reason. I may make a grid-search of the downstairs to see if I can relocate it.
BiL came and gave me my check for care or groceries. I get one of those checks mid-month and the other at the end of the month. // Now he is power-washing the back wall of the house where the now-dismantled deck was; there's a lot of green attached to that wall from being in the shade and staying moist all the time. // The person he has contacted about doing an estimate for a walk-in shower for Nannie's bathroom.....is supposed to be coming by, but I don't know when that will take place. // The HVAC folks are also supposed to give an estimate about moving the unit back beside the house. (it had been moved out about 4 feet when the deck was built).
I have to go out to the end of the driveway and bring the trash and recycling barrels back to the side of the house. What a thrill. I also need some reading material, but I don't know if I will go to the library or the store to get something. I may not go anywhere. I may not do anything. Ppfftt.
Next week the "new" daycare center will be where Nannie goes 3x/wk.....and HOPEFULLY SiL will be able to get Chatty CG to come every Thursday for her 6 hours of Nannie-sitting. I told SiL that she should also try to get her to show up on time!! I can't plan for something if I don't know when she'll get here. Many times she is 20-30 minutes late.
One of these days I may end up just posting "wash, rinse, repeat." I really hate that my episodes of crabbiness and irritation recur so often. I DO try to rearrange my mind-set; sometimes it works and then sometimes it doesn't work at all.
Right now I am going to pluck the little black hairs outta my chinny-chin-chin. Another 'thrill" no doubt.
Word to the wise: NEVER say the word "out" in any sentence or any context spoken at, to, or around Nannie. BiL said he was going out to power wash the back wall and Nannie said "Can I go, too?" He said "No." and she looked crestfallen. I will have to be conscious about saying that word in front of her! Even if she were to be taken out, the minute she comes back in and sits down, and then sees the car she just came home in and got out of .... she says, "Are we going somewhere? Do you want me to go out there to the car?" Doesn't even know she just came back from an all-day outing. Sad, but maddening!

Dianah that is a lot of CEUs to do in such a short time
Tweety I hope that your next shift proves less crazy
Another good day at work, got a new case but not too busy. Hoping this trend continues
After work did some CEUs, exercised, and texted with the cat sitter. Instructions were a bit longer this time, it's the same business but a different person who will be watching the cat next week. Emailing with a friend who has moved back to this area from Virginia, hoping we can get together when things settle down for him.
Today have an online meeting after work but otherwise it should be normal. Going to be leaving work early tomorrow so will spend some time making sure tomorrow isn't too busy
Going to be warmer today, up to the low 60s
