Hey ho, folks.
I ❤️ Indian food! I wish I could convince dh. Maybe I'll go to Trader Joes today and pick up frozen entrees.
Annie, I'm glad you made it home safely with a running car. We always seemed to have a lot of cars at our house, but we've winnowed it down. We always seem to drive them until the wheels practically fall off.
I just can't seem to sleep past 530 am anymore. But then I get up and immerse myself in my computer for 2 hours, reading the news. I got a nice run in this morning: I've changed up my running program, hoping to build more endurance. I also stopped and got some Voltaren cream to try on my knees. They are always stiff, and ache at night. We went to youngest gs's band concert last night, and then out for ice cream. He played the clarinet and snare drum. I hope he stays with it, at least through high school. I think band is a great extra curricular. His brother has really gotten into aviation, and hopes to go to the Air Force Academy. He will start high school in September.
Dianah, I like your method for your RV bed. Ours is sort of like that too.
It's time to head out and do a little weeding. The weather is nice, but some smoke is forecast to move in. Ugh, not as bad as the east coast, but enough to be "unhealthy." We may get rain, tomorrow, which would be nice.
Almost time for the Local and National News; after they are over we switch to the channel that has the baseball game.
I made an appt for Nannie at the primary doc's office, but since he wasn't available for an appt for 2 + 1/2 weeks, she will see a female doc who I am not familiar with. I told Nannie it's just going to be a 'cinch' of an appt --- Listen to her heart, listen to her lungs, ask a few questions, and then re-prescribe all meds needing refills.
Had my nails done this afternoon, even though my 'new' favorite nail tech wasn't working today. He works Weds, Fri, and Sat. Well, I couldn't stand one more night of these nails being so long, so the manager did what I needed done. Next time I will be sure to go in one of the guy's days; the manager was good, but this guy I went to twice before is meticulous.
I dropped off two fat trashbags at the Women's Shelter store, they were full of Nannie's "won't be able to ever wear again" clothes. While I was there, I perused their book area and got three hardback novels for $4.10. SUCH A DEAL!! Next time I go over there I can return those books and a bunch of paperbacks I've already read. There are 8 paperback books that I read in a week and a half. So, the second-hand books will save me some $$, because I'd paid full price on those 8 books, paperbacks being $9.99 now. I remember way back when they were $1.25 per.
Hubby went out early this AM to the ABC store. I asked him how many little bottles does he drink in one day, 6? or 8? He said, "Yes." ...Huh! Still hasn't called the doc, so he can get some refills okayed. He still hasn't had his left eye checked, but he says it isn't bothering him lately. After that big stink he made with the eye doctor's office that, as a diabetic, he shouldn't be made to wait 6 months to have it checked, and they accommodated him, and then he cancelled that appt.! Go figure!
Gotta feed the 'livestock" (deer and other critters)----

Dianah that's great that the echo was normal
Ado glad you made it home all right
Was a good day at work, not too busy. One of the new people has started and some of my cases have begun to transfer to her. Which will make things easier for a while, although I'm sure I'll get more
Was oddly nervous yesterday about work, finally had to take something for it. It helped a lot and I was fine the rest of the day.
Did laundry during my lunch break and then did the grocery shopping after work
Tonight the book club has a social event at a local Indian restaurant. Our regular meeting is next week
Will be about the same as yesterday, in the mid 70s
