Hi Dianah
Ado supposedly we have bald eagles in this area but I've never seen them
Another pretty good day at work, not too busy. Found out I've been nominated for an award, which was nice. And since everything is going well I found out my monthly review can be delayed until next month
Went shopping after work, fairly quiet night
Tested negative for Covid this morning. I'll test again tomorrow to be sure, but so far no symptoms
Will be in the 80s today, rest of the week should be similar, a break from the 90s we have been having
Hubby said he heard on the news (while he was still at the hospital) that it was 104 degrees in Charlotte. UGH! More of the same tomorrow. Still no rain, here but plenty of clouds with thunder and lightning. It poured down HARD at the hospital (20 minute drive away).
OMG, Hubby has been mansplaining to me a LOT today; I had to tell him #1) I am not Nannie, and don't require a full explanation for...whatever. #2) I did know the shortcut back from the hospital very well, but had a reason NOT to take it; had to stop at grocery store, and #3.) I spent many years working in a hospital and I know "how it goes on the floors", I know the set-up w/ the remote TV + nurses call-light, and #4) I seriously doubted that the nurses were wandering the hall "looking for something to do" (! I mean, really!) and they did not shut the room's doors so no one could see them walking past and a patient holler out at them when they did walk past a room. I had to listen to him tell me about how a nurse came in his room, introduced herself as his nurse, "And I never saw her again." And he c/o how they couldn't just let him have his meds like he does at home (just AM and PM); I told him he had to have a doc's order to do that and many doc's won't, and nurse's had a certain schedule they had to follow, and so on and so forth. And about how they told him around 9 AM that he was going to be discharged today. But I had I TOLD him on the phone it would be well after lunchtime before he'd be set free. So many of the same-old/same-old things I heard from patients back in the day. But I did not roll my eyes and sigh, although I felt like it.
By the way, Tweety, he said the charge nurse had a 5 patient assignment and then inherited a 6th. You are not alone! Small comfort, eh?
Ballgame: Braves lost in the 11th inning, 3-2, to the Cardinals.
Good night! Hope y'all sleep well.

Congrats on the award nomination Joe.
Dianah, when the tours over Saturday the contract with some hotel in Seattle they can stay in until the 10 days are up. There really is no way to enforce it. I think this is when he wants to leave, instead of going to the hotel he wants to catch their flight home which is the same day. Hopefully he'll do the right thing and stay in Seattle for the rest of the 10 days. I think though he would be free to move about Seattle it's just the flight that they say is a ten day wait. I get it, he has pets, and a job to get back to and there's no place like home.
Got a text from a coworker. The linen people found my badge in the linen shoot that empties to the basement. Opps.......
