Good Morning. Yesterday turned out not to be quite as hot as predicted, only 88. We did our volunteer gardening stint in the morning, then I did a quick wash up and saw the ortho. Clavicle is healing, no activity restrictions, no follow up needed. Woot! I came home and attempted to watch a webinar about gene therapy and promptly fell asleep. dh went to see his mom and had a nice visit, I guess.

We went out for Mexican food after dh got done with his online Zoom meeting.

Today we are going to a cookout that our investment firm does yearly. They are such nice people. Also need to go by the farm store for dog food. I swear those dogs eat better than I do.

Addictions in a hospital setting seems like a no win situation for patients or staff.

I keep forgetting I can watch movies on Prime. Dh watches them. I like Netflix and Apple, too. and sometimes PBS.

Joe, what dish did you prepare for the potluck? I never know what to make for a potluck...

I slept better last night, thankfully. I will do a couple errands today, and maybe wash the poor dirty car. It is oldest ds's BD today, he is 36 as of 1:04pm! He is doing well, part-time at the cat cafe and part-time bartending at the bar and grill. He chooses not to have a car or drive, so keeps his necessaries within walking distance. I give him kudos for knowing his own mind and for living life on his terms.

Perhaps I should practice some with the guitar today, need to keep that up so I keep calluses and also work on some techniques. Also I need to exercise. Thanks for putting up with my little mental list, here, LOL!

Do I even have to say or ask....."Guess who didn't show up today?" I left a message for SiL and said I didn't want to text Chatty CG because even if her excuse was legitimate, I don't want to hear it. She said she feels the same way. She is going to begin another search for a CG to come one 6 hour weekday like Chatty did.

Apparently, CCG had requested payment in cash instead of a check. SiL told her they were paying by check because they have to have a paper-trail to show the powers-that-be, when they go in at "the end of the year" assessment. (maybe the one-year mark since BiL and SiL have started to keep track of Nannie's medicaid requirements?) SiL said CCG was not happy about having to be paid by check. I don't know why. SiL told her she can take it to any bank that holds Nannie's acct , and they would cash it. Regardless of CCG's "reasons", they are not even close to being responsible enough to just tell us SOMETHING, even if it is only a TEXT to let us know she wouldn't be here.

Oh well, so what? I am well-practiced from YEARZ of being taken advantage of in work situations, (U'n'Me, eh Tweets?) and, as Bea Arthur used to say on 'Maude': "God'll get you for that, Walter."

Temps and humidity are going to be even worse Saturday and Sunday, so sez out local TV Weather Guy. Today we have had 5 minutes of thunder, then sunshine for 5 min , then 5 minutes of very heavy rain, then more thunder followed by sunshine again, and another downpour, and that pattern has happened for a few hours. Mother Nature is kinda skitzofreeniak!

SiL is supposed to come in early AM to give the Nannie-person a shower, do her hair, get her dressed, and take her to the Senior Daycare.

Oooh, gotta get off from here as they are about to talk about La DonOLD tRUMP's DIAGNOSES!!! (Bruising and edematous feet)
