Hi. The day started out rainy, now the sun is out. Sis's neuro appt was sort of a wash. Doc didn't have office notes from ENT visit. We tried to reconstruct it. Sis hasn't been able to hear out of one ear since she saw ENT. She went back to that office, nurse looked in her ear, and based on that, ENT prescribed prednisone. Gah. She is still waiting to be eval. by hearing program at local university. They can do more inner ear eval stuff. And she goes back to neuro in 4 months. So she continues to be intermittently nauseous , feels like the floor is moving under her, and freq. falls.
I stopped at Lenscrafters and they were able to repair my eyeglasses, hallelujah. Then I stopped to pick up garlic bread and mushrooms to make spaghetti for dinner. Fireplace tech came by and the gas fireplace we thought was fixed, apparently needs a $500 part replaced, or two $500 parts replaced. Double gah. And I can't get the new cable box to work, and the cable company isn't taking calls right now. I'm afraid to touch anything at this point, for fear it will break in my hands. There are just some days...
Gooood Evenink!
I was going to post much earlier, but BiL came over to hang a few new window blinds and I took the opportunity to go out to the grocery store and to pay my cell-phone bill which is due tomorrow.
The phone co. told me I was eligible for an upgrade to a new SMAHT-fone. I said not just no, but h___ no! So they showed me the new flip phone, which is a little bit thinner than the previous model, but I couldn't see any advantage to switching phones, especially since they said they can not transfer anything from my current phone to a new one. It was on sale and would have ended up costing me only $40, which is an excellent price, however, it's not worth it if I have to struggle and get frustrated trying to put all my 'contacts' on it. And I couldn't save any of the photos I have. The last time I switched, they promised me they could transfer stuff to my new flip phone, but lost many photos from the time I had Moosie....really good pics of him. Phooey!
S'posed to rain a LOT tomorrow, and the weather guy said this area may "flirt with a little bit of Winter weather". Now Nannie is convinced we will be snowed and iced-in. I seriously doubt we will have any snow to amount to anything. It'll maybe toss just a few flakes at us, but more likely we will have rainrainrain.
I took Momo out with me in her new cross-body pouch-type carrier (SiL gave me one for Mo's Xmas) and she actually started getting used to it and relaxed! While I was in the grocery store she just laid down inside the pouch. I went to the register I usually go to, and when the cashier looked at the pouch, I said, "I'm due to deliver in a few days." at which point Momo's head popped up to see who I was talking to. The cashier said, "Ummmm, your baby is 'crowning' right now!" ?
Got the trash put out for pickup in the AM. Took some pics off the wall in the old bedroom, but won't be able to decide where to hang them in the new bedroom until all the furniture is in place. And there's still boxes of stuff on their way out to the now emptied trailer, to go to the dump.
Don't know if we just haven't had any mail today, or if the mail-person is delivering late again. We've got a cold night in store for us.
There are only 45 minutes left until Nannie goes to bed!
G'day.
Stars, I'm so happy that your BIL and SIL are so helpful. Really it's his mother and I'm happy he stepped up to the plate.
Dianah, glad you're feeling "normal" again.
J22, sounds like it was a day....
Work was okay. Not sure what I was doing but didn't clock out until 8:45. Was quite busy. We're in our 'season' and beds aren't even cleaned before they assign an admission.
My work wife texted me asking who was doing charge now that one of the charge nurses is transferring to ICU. I told her who it was and she was upset they didn't ask her. I reminded her she told them over a year ago she did not want to do charge nurse and they are honoring that. She said they hate her. I let it go. People.......

Tweety that was good that you let your sister vent. I hope the sleep improves
Stars that's great that they're going to remove and sell all of that stuff for you
NJ22 hope the neurologist will prove to be of help
Dianah hope the car repairs don't take too long
Yesterday at work was quite slow, which was good as I got the chance to do some continuing education, the laundry, and a little vacuuming. I'm sure things will pick up again but this was nice. After work I finished the grocery shopping
Today should be fairly ordinary. Have exercise after work. Have counseling during lunch, will advise that I'd like to wrap things up in the next few weeks and follow up only as needed. Little nervous about the change but I know things have plateaued and I hadn't planned to receive counseling quite this long
Weather is going to remain the same, in the mid 30s, hopefully it won't be cloudy like it has been
