Hi Stars

NJ22 a half day sounds nice

Tweety hope being charge goes OK

Ado I hope the computer gets fixed soon

Was a fairly calm day at work, a bunch of emails but not too busy.  Have been doing better at staying calm and not getting upset by delays and the unexpected

Was pleased to hear the insurance  company we work with is very happy with us and will be sharing a presentation on how much things have improved.  Has reduced my concern about my job, but still going to update the resume

Had the last meeting with the political group, at least for now.  Will be nice having more time on Wednesdays.   Afterwards went grocery shopping, was glad that the rain mostly held off

Have a vestry meeting tonight after church, thankfully it's on Zoom

Will likely rain today too, will be around 40.  Odd to have no snow yet

I went to the KIA dealership yesterday to have my low tire fixed because the light on the dash indicated I needed attention to one of the tires refilled. They just aired up the tires and told me if the indicator light didn't go off, bring it back and they'd reset it. So that's where I went mid-day today. And about a mile from the dealership, the tire-light went out! I brought it in for them to look at and they said it reset itself; they checked all the tires again and everything was fine.

I have been looking for a hoodie for hubby, but so far no luck. I did get him a vest; he has gotten up to 2XX !

He called me when I was out and asked me to get a little birthday cake for the girl across the street whose 19th b'day is today.

When I got home, hubby was on the front porch, and he told me he had fallen backwards down the last four steps into the den. Of course Nannie was upset she couldn't get up and help him, but even if she could've gotten herself up, she'd have been no help. He said he squirmed around and used his recliner to get up again, but I had to get him an ice-pack and help him back down to his recliner. I said I was going to have to get a sitter for both hubby and Nannie if I had to go out again. Honest to goodness!

I asked hubby how much he'd had to drink and he said "Oh, maybe 7 little bottles." I told him that was WAY too much, obviously, since he couldn't keep himself upright. I don't understand why he has to get SO smashed! I asked him if he was just going to keep on this way until his February appointment w/ the doc. He said "no" but I don't believe him.

Anyway, *I* am fine.

I am feeding the two sorry-orifice people here some frozen dinners for supper.

Good evening.

I had an okay day.  Managed to stay on top of things with some annoyances which isn't worth getting into, but lets just say I don't like secretaries that think they are the boss and make decisions and tell people what to do, except when it's convenient to pass the buck.

whew, home after a long afternoon. I worked half a day, then drove to Seattle for a cardiology appointment and pacer check that went well. They were able to adjust the settings enough to add 2 years of "juice" to my battery. The MA seemed upset about my bp. I had just driven 90 minutes, much of it in heavy traffic, and then run up a flight of stairs. Oh well, doc didn't seemed concerned. I do also seem to have high pressures in the office. dh went with me and we stopped for early dinner, then he drove back.

I hear ya about secretaries, Tweety. We have clerks, and our current one is lovely. But she has been told she can't order our office supplies anymore, and the gnarly one we had before who is lazy as sin will take over. We will be out of post-its and she will argue for days about why we don't need them.  Every day I more sure about retiring. March 8 will my last day.

Joe, that is good news about the insurance. But, I think its much easier to keep a current resume, that to have to rewrite an out of date one. It cool here, no precipitation in the forecast. I guess the big expected rain went south.

NoStars, good grief. That's all I got, just, good grief.

Imma going to go to bed early. All that driving is tiring. But worth it to have cardiologist that I trust.
