Woke up at 8 AM and fed Momo, and turned on the electric fireplace. Was kind of surprised that we hadn't rec'd more snow. Back to sleep until Momo woke me up to say Nannie was climbing the stairs, at 11:20 AM. I told her to go back down to her chair and I would be down in a minute to give her breakfast and meds to her.
It is snowing again, not heavily, but we rec'd more while I was sleeping between Momo's breakfast and Nannie's breakfast. Now I am in bed lounging with a cup of coffee while Nannie is in her recliner. Will prolly get up soon, get dressed and go down to dress Nannie, so she can repeatedly show me what she is wearing, like I don't know what clothes I put on her. 🙄 And be amazed that she has two sleeves. two matching shoes, two pant-legs and nod that yes, aren't her tops pretty! OY! Don't know if I mentioned this or not, but the other day when BiL brought her home from the dentist appt, I asked her if her teeth felt clean.....and when she walked in our door, she had no memory of having gone to the dentist's office at all.
Today's itinerary is gathering all the trash and lugging the bins out to the end of the driveway for tomorrow AM pick-up. Yeah, and Nannie's laundry and some of my laundry. And some more dishes to wash (mostly cups and glasses and silverware). This 'domestic goddess' thing grows old fast. Oh well. No rent, no mortgage payment and all that, so I shouldn't complain.....well, maybe I could (and do!) anyway because that's how I feel......like the Mommy to a large baby (Nannie.). Never, ever had the desire to have children, yet here I am.
So, it is the stroke of noon, and in my home town up in Mass., the horn is blowing from the town hall tower. Two times means it's noon. If it was a fire-call to the volunteer firemen, it would have a different sequence to indicate which part of town the fire is in, like 3-2, and 2-4, etc.
OKay, I've sneezed myself awake, and there is nothing to it but to do it....here I go----------> to the den and the Nannie-person. Whoopie! (blah.)
Because it is 32 degrees, I have retrieved from my Winter clothes collection, a sweater that I have not had to wear for 9-10 years! I figured this cold weather warranted me putting it on. Nannie admired my "new jacket" (old sweater) So far she hasn't fussed with the athletic sweatshirt-jacket that is a little bit too narrow for her to button all the way down, but in a while I expect her to start fiddling with it. (she is sort of dozing right now. YES!) I suppose I can put her new red sweater-jacket on her that she has worn for the past 3 days. She spent a lot of time yesterday adjusting the bottom hem of it so it was exactly even on the top of her thighs, and made multiple variations of her sleeves, folded, unfolded, pushed up, pulled down. I stay turned away from her so I don't have her in my line of vision 😖 'cause it drives me bananas! At least she is contented with fiddling endlessly. It is just pretty sad that her brain is on an endless loop of doing the same thing over and over and over, etc! I won't change her unless she starts fussing with or about the light pink one I did put on her this morning. And I put her blue slip-on shoes on her, but this time she can't complain they have red or pink on them (logo) because, as I point out, it matches what she is wearing.
I'm a bit hungry and it is still 2 hours until I usually eat my brunch. Guess I will go heat up the carrot-ginger soup I got at the health food store the other day; that will make me feel better. Then I can do a quick wash-up of the dishes while I reheat the soup, and soon I will put one load of wash into the drier and start another load. Such excitement!
So, enough of this 'normal', tedious complaining.....
Trash --- Check. // Dishes ---Check // Laundry --- in progress. One dryer load left and then I'm through. // Now I am through!
Nannie is going to daycare tomorrow. I'll have to pick her up during a Friday afternoon rush-hour; won't that be fun? Maybe I'll keep count of how many times she tells me that there are a LOT of cars on the road. Or I could just wear ear-plugs, smile, and nod a lot....that'll work, doncha think?
She's been a bad girl tonight, climbed out over that footrest 3-4 different times when I had to go upstairs to do something. So the next time I had to be out of the room, I pressed the remote until the footrest was down. I don't trust her. She told me she has to go to the bathroom and once I sat her down on the commode she wanted to know why I put her there. Then she argued that she did NOT say she wanted to go to the bathroom, and NO, she said did not point at the bathroom door. Okay. Right.

Tweety hope it doesn't get too chilly there
Ado I have been thinking of making pineapple upside down cake too
Stars I hope it was a quiet day
Dianah I wish it was that warm here
Work was pretty brutal yesterday, got 2 new cases and was helping to cover for a coworker who was out. Emailed the supervisor in the morning to see about getting help with the workload. Didn't get a response until after lunch, and by then things had improved enough that I didn't need help. The person I was covering got a new case at the end of the day, but by then I had time to work on it and get the preliminary stuff done. Was glad that I did not let myself get too uptight or angry about it
Rest of the day was ordinary, just exercised after work
Today hoping things will be quieter today. Nothing unusual going on after work
Will still be fairly cold, only getting up to the low 20s
