So, after complaining multiple times last night about the outfit she was wearing, this morning Nannie said she really liked the tan pants she had on, and wanted to know why I felt she had to change them, and her sweater/top.....Um, because they were wet? d'Oh!
After I dressed her in one of her 'fav' outfits, her shiny navy blue pants, a white turtleneck jersey, and the pink sweatshirt-jacket she thinks matches her nail polish color (it doesn't, but if Nannie is happy thinking so, that's fine by me!) she looked at herself in the mirror, slapped her hands together and said, "Hot damn!" And "YES!" because her shoulder wrap has the same shade of purple as her new shoes. She is IN LOVE with those shoes! I told SiL she hit it out of the park with that purchase! Nannie sits in her recliner with her legs raised on the foot-rest and can't quit admiring her shoes or commenting about them. SiL wondered if she could talk Nannie into having her nails painted the same color as her shoes? Who knows! We'll have to wait and see!
?Once again, I am sad to inform you that I did not win the PCH sweepstakes this morning. They should have arrived between 9 AM and noon.....with the BIG check and a huge bouquet of roses. But, alas, I am ...if not penniless ...at least not suddenly, obscenely rich. Phooey. ? OH WELL! I'd just really love to be able to give $ to each of my siblings, and, yes, that awful step-dgt, too. I'd send some honkin' big $10,000.00 checks. But, I can't enclose a note to step-dgt that says, "Here. Now, shut up!"...because I have not heard word one from her since the "Merry Christmas" text.
Pretty soon BiL owes me another check for $500, so there's that, anyway. But I won't be sharing that!
I have things to do around here, (yes, dishes and laundry) but, once again I am severely lacking in interest and motivation to get anything done! It's like my feet and my brain are just stuck in some sucking mud that will not release me. ??"Please release me, let me go; 'cause I don't wanna be here anymore!" I have to remind myself that, though the Nannie-care job lost its luster long ago, I am actually blessed to be here, where I don't have to pay any rent or a mortgage! That really is a MAJOR blessing, and I know it!
Tawk whichyou'alls laydah!
I'm feeling tired, too. 3 hours of driving to get to from her cardiology appointment. He has a new fellow whom I don't like as much as the previous one. Oh well. We stopped at a different place to eat that was tasty with huge portions. I brought home 3/4 of a Philly steak sandwich. Just before I left to go to Dr., the dogs found a mud puddle and came in dripping & muddy. They were very indignant about getting an impromptu bath.
We've had fog, sun, rain, wind, hail & snow all in one day.

Dianah glad you made it there safely and the weather is nice
Stars glad you were able to get those items crossed off your list
Work wasn't too busy yesterday, which was nice for a change. After work got the grocery shopping done and stopped by the library as well. Did more dating app stuff, finally got a response from someone. Not sure if it will go anywhere but nice that my efforts have gotten at least a little reward
Have counseling over lunch, otherwise the day should be pretty ordinary, usual exercise and dating app stuff
Will be a bit warmer today, up to the upper 40s
