Tweety I don't think I've heard of Black Doves

Ado glad things are quiet at work

Stars sounds like a productive day for you

Dianah dad is feeling pretty much back to normal

NJ22 glad you're feeling better

Another fairly quiet day at work yesterday.  After work drove to the dinner outing with the over 50 group, only 4 of us this time although probably to be expected with the holidays coming up soon

The appetite stimulant seems to have worked, the cat has been eating both yesterday and today.  Hopefully we won't need to use the medication again. Her behavior is pretty much back to normal too

Nothing really planned after work today

Will again be in the low 30s, I think there will be some snow tonight although I'm not sure how much

1:12 PM and no Chatty CG yet....she is always a little late anyway, but ....hmmmm. I had to get Nannie up, dressed, fed and all because Chatty CG didn't arrive until 1:30 PM 😕 But at least she is HERE now!

Cute story about CG's 2 year old grand-dgt: She sneaked into the bathroom while her grampa was in the shower; he didn't hear her come in, and when she flipped back the shower curtain she saw "that", before he put his hands down to cover himself.  She said "What's THAT?" He told her that boys had pee-pee's and girls had wee-wee;s, She stood there a second and said: "Oh. Well it's very cute!" 😂

I feel like I actually accomplished something today. 3 kinds of cookies baked, trip to the pharmacy, and took the dogs to a park for a walk. Temp almost to 50 today, rain showers. I need to take the recycle paper out, but I need to sort out the frozen food boxes that ds keeps putting in. The one that have a plastic coating can't be recycled but no one believes me.
I rewrapped the present that the dogs tore into. Dh was quite upset about last night, mostly at me. I should've rewrapped before he got home.
we are at grandson's robotics meet now. So cool to see afterschool activities besides sports and music.

Hello all!

Mmmmm, THREE kinds of cookies, nursej22?  I'll be right over!

I went to my "old" stomping grounds (department) for their Christmas gathering in the breakroom.  I took a cranberry-jalapeno dip (over cream cheese, eaten with crackers).  It was all eaten, so I didn't have to bring any home!  It was good to see former colleagues, seems they are all doing well.  The department is busy as ever!

I left a little of the dip home for dh to sample.  He declared it good!

He is still working on his new phone.  The number is now transferred over, and he is working on getting his contacts and message lists switched.  What a job!  But, he is making progress.

It is 81 degrees out!  Surely NOT Winter!

Have a good evening!

I accidentally found the County Animal Shelter today, so was finally able to donate that huge trash bag full of blankets and towels that I have been driving around for over a week. And after I took a bag of the paper stuff out to the car to take it to get shredded, I decided since it was quite heavy and therefore would be expensive, I will either shred it myself (I do have a cross-cut shredder) or, go through it again and cut off everything that doesn't have my name/address or personal info....but I think that would be rather too intensive. From what I did the other day, it made my hand's joints achey....mean ol' Mr. Arthur Rightis!  But my PM meds will help and I have the wrist/thumb braces on, so I'm hoping the twinges will ease off by tomorrow.

I found two of my boxes that I have been wanting to locate, out in the shed, but there are MANY more boxes out there, and if the weather was nice I could prolly unload a bunch of them, but I would need help digging down into the piles stacked in the back right lower corner.... I think that's where all my used-to-be bottles and jars of bathroom and "beauty" products are. I say 'used-to-be' because after being heated and frozen for 8 years, there's likely to be quite a mess! I picture cracked or exploded containers, having erupted , but by now with dried-out liquids. But, with the weather and my hands, now is not the time to tackle that job. I also don't have any room in the house to put a lot of the stuff that's out there in the shed. But, I could also get in the mood to dispose of some of it. After 'doing without' for so long, maybe some of what I packed all those years ago won't be wanted or needed any more. And, of course there would be places for my stuff if Nannie wasn't "taking up so much space". (What a terrible thing to say! But it IS still HER house, so....

But, oh, I did also find ONE of the pictures I want to put up on the walls in my bedroom, and now want to search for 3 others. The one I found will have to go to a pro to be secured in the frame, as I had duct taped the backing onto the frame and now all the duct tape is hanging off the backing. I also have a few other framed prints that I have yet to locate....my favorite being "Rockport in the Rain" (Rockport, Mass) It is a very faded print I found out, by looking at a photo of the original on-line once, but I still like it the way it is, and would love to hang it up with the others. And there is a poster of a water-color painting, it has flowers in a glass vase, and is very peaceful to contemplate, but it needs re-framing from the awful, cheap, warped poster frame that was on it.

It is 8:30 PM and Nannie is drowsing, so I'm going to get her to bed by 9 PM. YAY! (" Say goodnight Gracie.")
