Stars hope the present didn't get too wet

Tweety hope tomorrow is less crazy

NJ22 hope you can find relief from the aching.  I wear a bite guard at night, and the dentist wants me to wear one during the day too

Work was a bit busier than expected but overall not too bad.  Hoping today will be better still, less on the schedule and only 1 person out

After work did laundry and grocery shopping.  Got some prosecco for New Years because I don't care for champaigne

Tonight should be fairly quiet, going to rain most of today and part of tomorrow so probably better that I stay in

Going to be in the low 40s again today

Good Afternoon!

One bit of news is that I don't have to have a new checking account #, I can continue with the one I have and when I get the new checks with just my name on them, I can shred the others, and I'm good to go.

Right now I am waiting for SiL to come over after she gets off work (3-ish). I have to go to the bank to get some cash, and I also have to pay my TV+WiFi provider's bill at their store.

I did call about having the car-loan bill for payments sent to me via mail; it was on auto-withdrawal, but that was under hubby's name. I guess I could switch that too, to go back to auto-w/d payments under my name (?), but another time, as today isn't convenient.

Hope I receive hubby's birth certificate in the mail today, so I can call SSA to make an appt to have hubby's SS check $ switched over to me. I believe I have all the papers required except for that birth certificate. I'm not entirely sure that wraps up most of what I have to do, but I THINK it is.

You should see the 2 pages in my notebook-brain----still lots of things to take care of. I have to make a payment at the Funeral Home, I have to make an appt to have my eye exam (overdue) and an appt w/ the lawyer to change my will; I also want to change my Advanced Directives, so step-dgt. isn't in charge of anything after I croak. And I need to get my latest Covid shot....then I believe I've had ALL my vaccinations for the year.

Have to stop at the grocery store also. Momo has refused her breakfast, but it was the last serving I had, so I have to get something else that she WILL eat. Hope to locate those large underpads, too. Also have to stock up on what we always run out of first, like milk, bread, paper towels, laundry detergent.

That darn squirrel has started digging again at the outside, wooden door-jamb for the back door. I had stuffed some steel-wool in that hole, with cayenne pepper in it, but the steel-wool piece has disappeared, so I have to replace that. Don't understand what the squirrel hopes to get from all that digging, though. Weird.

Okay, all for now. Momo knows I am going to go out, because I brought my purse downstairs with me. Periodically she stands up and puts her paws on my right shoulder, saying either "Don't go" or "Take me with you." Neither of those requests will help, as I am going out by myself! What a poor, pitiful li'l thang she is! Oh well!

Toodles!

It was mild and overcast this morning, now it's starting to sprinkle. I tried another jog to day, I was able to tolerate about 1 1/2 miles.

dd texted me this morning to report she tested positive for covid this am. So we may have been exposed on Christmas? dh and I tested negative, and we're both symptom-free. It's always something. There was a lot of wind last night, but the only damage seems to be that our blow-up christmas tree went to visit the neighbors.

I should do some mending that I promised to eldest ds and dh, but the dogs are ensconced on my lap, so mending will have to wait, LOL. Although I should be mad at them, for sneaking into the room that used to be dh's office and leaving some "deposits". And I made it worse by stepping in a pile and tracking it down the hall.

I think we are going to a New Years Eve party/fund raiser for the Food Bank. Dh bought tickets, but doesn't know what time it is, what is included, and what should be worn. I wouldn't mind dressing up a little, but I don't want to be the only one and everyone else is in their Carharts and flannel shirts.

G'day.

Joe tomorrow should be better as I'm off.  Hope you had a good day.

Had an okay day.  Was a "free charge" with no patients.  Had to go to a meeting about an unexpected death we had but I didn't know the patient.  Just happened to be the charge nurse when she came at shift change.  She coded many hours later she was in her 30's.  Awaiting an autopsy but she could have self-medicated and overdosed.

Finally off for two days in a row rather than working every other day.  I'm not making plans for New Year's Eve as I'm working and likely might be in bed by 10pm.  LOL

Did some of my errands and blew the rest off because it was late when I left the house, and it was dark by the time I drove home.

While SiL was here, she had BiL come over and take the glass doors off the downstairs bath tub. Easier to get Nannie in and out, she said. She gave Nannie a bath while she was here, and set her hair. BiL helped SiL take the oblong kitchen table out of the house, and put the round one back into the kitchen; much more room in there now!

SiL also tried to wash the kitchen floor, but it was so dirty, it really didn't come clean like one might expect. I had mentioned I might get a quote from some cleaners, like Stanley Steamer. When I find out what it might cost, I can figure out when to call and make an appt to have it done. May be able to get that cost covered by Nannie's acct.

I am sooooo tired, I was thrilled when Nannie said at 8:20 PM that she would like to go to bed.

Tomorrow I'm going to TRY to get my Queen Anne desk emptied so it can be moved into the new room. I may not move the 4-drawer file cabinet into the new room. I am so OVER having a crowded room, and can't figure out where to put it, anyway, without cramming stuff together.

All for now----
