It's been a decent day although I got an email forwarded from a patient's unhappy spouse who did some ugly name-calling and sent that email to all kinds of local and state and national entities. Nobody at the hospital did anything wrong. This person just didn't get the attention they wanted so they're spewing hatefulness. Always fun in a small town.
I finished the audiobook of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. Decided I had NOT read that one before. Now time to find my next read.
I have thought each day this week that it was Sunday, but it never was, and it isn't now, either!
Thursday means trash-to-the-curb tonight. I'm glad I re-read this just-in-case I needed to edit, and there-by reminded myself once again what I have to get up to do.....soon!
Had zero energy or interest in making supper for Nannie, so I put together a peanut butter and banana sandwich, along with potato chips, pudding and a cookie. Fortunately that makes her happy, and she ate every crumb. I have to get up early tomorrow to get the Nannie-person dressed, fed, and ready to go; BiL will pick her up and take her to the Sr. Ctr. and then in the afternoon I get to go pick her up to take her home, What a sparkling, fascinating life this is! BLEH!
This has been an exceptionally boring day. I didn't count how many times she said this, but every time I'd get up to do something, Tinker would get up to follow me, Nannie would say, "There's that dog behind you." After a few DOZEN times I wanted to growl and shout, "I know, I KNOW, I KNOW!"
She has also been 'fixing' the front of her jersey over her tummy, ALLLLLLLL afternoon (as if it EVER makes a difference!) so many times, I swear it should be threadbare by now. She keeps telling me "He's so precious" about Tinker, and "Look at him, he's always laying down beside you, or in your lap." Yuh. well, tell me something I don't know.
Picture this: A 9 pound Chihuahua on a leash, tugging me, a 5'7", 160 lb woman, along on our walk around the big front and back yards, 2-3 times around each part of the yard during each walk. I'm sweating because of the humidity and heat, and trying to keep up with her. She, in one area of the yard, was bouncing along on her hind feet, peering up into the trees, where those birds were last week, and then we had to stop by to inspect the neighbor's chickens in their pen like we always do. What I draw the line at is when she sniffs something that makes her want to rub her face in it and roll around in it. I don't know what compels her to do that, but it is NOT allowed. I remember too well, when another dog I had found something like part of a dead fish to roll in and on, and boy did that STINK!
Well, thank goodness there is a Braves game on TV tonight; even though she seldom understands what is going on, she does enjoy watching it....I guess out of habit, maybe, because her husband was a big Braves fan. I don't think the Braves have done very well in the past couple of years.
I think I will do some word search puzzles to fill the time until I get to put Nannie to bed
G'night!.
Good evening.
Ado, those kinds of complaints are annoying. We get reported to the state for stuff all the time. In all my time working here they've all been deemed unjustified but for complaints on one unit and the care they delivered and lack of good charting to counter the claims. They had to come up with one of the "action plans".
Had a busy day at work. They pulled a nurse to go to the ER to take are of med-surg holds. So I took a small patient assignment. It wasn't horrible.
Off tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a good evening.

Work was insanely busy yesterday, lots of documents to review, a lot of back on forth on emails, and a bunch of tasks for the person I was covering, including another new case for the person I was covering for. Thankfully another coworker got that one, otherwise I would have had to work late or skip lunch
And thankfully while my stress levels rose I didn't let it get too bad. And the rest of the day was easy, just ran an errand after work and exercised and worked on my puzzle
Today should be calmer at work, since so much got done yesterday. After work going to meet my church friend T for dinner, have been trying to do that for a while
Bit warmer today, upper 80s, no rain expected
