It might. W's are a "red flag" that the person is not able (or not willing) to fulfill the commitments they signed up for. Most schools look for students who have a high probability of success. They look bad.
The same goes for employment. Some employers ask for transcripts for their new grad hires -- and W's will look bad to them, too.
Be prepared to address those withdrawals as part of your application process -- both for nursing school and for jobs as a new grad. Some schools/employers will pay more attention to them than others, so you never know for sure how much weight they will have in any decisions made.

Hello everyone currently I have one w but am going to drop two of my classes this summer due to the fact that I have family problems that I can't handle while going to school..my question is would this effect me in getting in bec I really want to be a nurse
