Next week I am interviewing with 3 different departments at Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee. The interviews are on the same day on the 15th at 9am, 11am, and 1pm. They are for a Pulmonary Progressive Step Down Unit, a CHF ICU stepdown unit, and a Neuro/Stroke Center unit.
I have never done a phone interview and am nervous. If I were to be offered one of these jobs I would be moving 3 hours away from my home in Charlotte, NC. I am scared! I have lived here my entire life with my parents. My mom passed away 7 years ago and it has just been me and my dad. I am worried that he will be lonely, that I will be homesick So many thoughts are running through my mind  I would have to find an apartment and start a life on my own. I do have a couple of friends that live there though.
Any thoughts, suggestions? Here in Charlotte, basically NO ONE is hiring

When you interview on the phone, smile as you talk. It will shine through in your voice. Just focus on one thing at a time right now - interviewing. If you are offered a job and think it's something that would be a good opportunity, then you can make that decision later. And it might only be a short term thing while you get some new grad experience. I'm sure your dad will be very proud so try not to let that factor into your decision too much.
