Three phone interviews next week and MAJOR changes possible....any suggestions?

Published

Next week I am interviewing with 3 different departments at Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee. The interviews are on the same day on the 15th at 9am, 11am, and 1pm. They are for a Pulmonary Progressive Step Down Unit, a CHF ICU stepdown unit, and a Neuro/Stroke Center unit.

I have never done a phone interview and am nervous. If I were to be offered one of these jobs I would be moving 3 hours away from my home in Charlotte, NC. I am scared! I have lived here my entire life with my parents. My mom passed away 7 years ago and it has just been me and my dad. I am worried that he will be lonely, that I will be homesick :( So many thoughts are running through my mind :eek::crying2: I would have to find an apartment and start a life on my own. I do have a couple of friends that live there though.

Any thoughts, suggestions? Here in Charlotte, basically NO ONE is hiring :(

When you interview on the phone, smile as you talk. It will shine through in your voice. Just focus on one thing at a time right now - interviewing. If you are offered a job and think it's something that would be a good opportunity, then you can make that decision later. And it might only be a short term thing while you get some new grad experience. I'm sure your dad will be very proud so try not to let that factor into your decision too much.
