I am going to be applying for nursing school in the spring. I have to take 2, possibly 3 classes in the spring. There are a few obstacles, but nothing impossible.
1. I will be away from ds alot, but between family, dh (whack job hours) and a sitter we can do it.
2. Here is the biggie, we don't want to wait 3 years go to have another one. Ds is 11 mos old. He will be 2 by the time I start. During this program you have to go Full time, there is no part time. I think we can try to plan it to where I can have the next one during the summer so I will have 3 months off. There is a daycare right on campus so I could always go and nurse there. Of course, there is the possibility of not conceiving as we will plan. I think the worst case scenario is that I would have to retake a course.
What do you think?
Originally posted by mujerTeresa-I have a very large support system. My dh doesn't work a 9-5 either. He has 2.5 days off during the week. My mom only works until 2:30. My dad doesn't work...the list goes on and on. They have already said they will help. This doesn't even include my neighbor who SAH. My best friend. My other SIL.
I think I can do it. I never thought it would be easy. I already have my prerequisites done. I will be taking my co's in the spring, applying shortly after, if I get in I would start Fall 2004.
Thanks for the support!
Mujer, if you have a good support system (and it looks like you do have one) then I think it certainly CAN be done. You know everyone here will support you no matter what.

Teresa you truly are an inspiration to all us mothers! I only have 2 kids and barely have time to study! I don't know how you do it!
