For those who have interviewed, is the whole virtual interview a group session?

It is a group interview

Just to double check and make sure I’m not a moron, this school is an integrated program and not a front loaded program right?

How did interviews go today???  Did they let you know when you’ll be hearing back ?

I assume this was the year they went from their MSN to their DNP, but I may be wrong. I plan to ask about this in the interview.

Did you get an answer to this?

It was, in fact, their first graduating cohort for their DNP curriculum. They explained they have made curriculum changes, added on board prep, etc. since this. As far as timeline, they said 2-3 weeks for a decision, although potential for sooner.

That makes sense. How many people were in your group interview?

Thanks!  Good luck!

For those who interviewed and were offered a seat anyone hesitant on accepting due to NCE scores? I know they explained and said 2020 cohort was looking better, however still very concerning.

I spoke to a few current CRNAs and they told me as long as the program is giving all the experiences needed (as far as clinicals go) and the courses needed, which they have being accredited, then it doesn’t matter too much where you go. Yes, you need to have a good foundation to do well on boards but a lot of it comes down to the type of student you are and the work you put in to prep for that. Most programs have hiccup moments with boards when it’s their first year introducing new classes/concepts. It’s unfortunate we don’t have this year’s numbers to compare but I do believe you couldn’t go wrong selecting this program. Of course if you have other options that you feel more secure about then by all means go for that but it does come down to how well you go out of your way to get the education you need in order to be successful. With most programs being online right now due to COVID, I think the platform for education will be similar throughout the nation anyways. Just my take from the advice I received and hope that helps answer your question!

Hi! I know I'm late to the game. But I submitted my application early Jan, it marked completed 01/24 (one of my references was a little late), and was offered an interview today 01/29. The only interview spot open is for Feb 4th. So don't give up. I know that the chance that this interview is for waitlisted spots is high, but don't give up. It increases our chance of getting accepted next year!

@vmuMICURN Did you hear back of getting in or anyone else? Any answers back otherwise from one other student that got in from the January 21st interview ?
