Hi Everyone,
I have an interview with Jefferson for the RN/BSN program and I am really nervous. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I just want to be prepared.
Thanks!!!

Sorry, I can't really offer you any advice. I'll give you my support and hope you get through it well. Honestly, the interview seemed scary. I was accepted to Drexel (no interview), and was just relieved that I wouldn't need to apply to Jefferson (although, I liked Jefferson's open house more). Interviews scare the living daylights out of me. Good luck with it.
I guess "suggestions" would be of the general interview style. Why do you want to become a nurse? What aspect of nursing do you think you'd want to pursue (and how much education are you planning on getting). Why did you chose Jefferson's program. Did you apply to other programs, and why. What are you expecting from the program. What skills do you have that you'd think would benefit you in nursing. What aspects are lacking (don't dwell on it), and how do you plan on improving that area. What job situations could you apply to nursing - tough decisions.
Remember to have a few questions, so the conversation isn't one-sided. Perhaps the experience/education level of the professors. The class size, and how the cohorts may work. I have no idea what other kinds of questions would be good.
:yelclap:GOOD LUCK - AND GET SOME SLEEP BEFORE THE INTERVIEW!!!!:zzzzz

Are you applying to their RN-to-BSN program because you already have an RN, or are you just applying to their BSN program?
In any case, don't sweat the interview. It's not that big a deal. I had an interview for their FACT/Accelerated program, and it was pleasant and pretty easy. Be prepared to talk about why Jeff's program is attractive to you, what relevant experience you have (if any), how you might handle situations like a loud, angry patient/relative of a patient. If you're not already an RN, be prepared to talk about what you think nurses do all day long. (They want to make sure you don't think it's all like ER or House!). They might ask you if you are sure you can handle the workload (of course you can. You've been a great student up until now, right?). I didn't get any of the "strengths and weaknesses" questions, but it may depend on who interviews you.
It really is a laidback process. They just want to make sure you're a good fit with the school. If you've gotten as far as the interview, you're probably already in good shape.
Remember to smile a lot!
