To my dear filipinos,

Let us all be reminded that our threads our read by various members of this site.Having said that, we should atleast be sensible enough in our post and how we respond to criticisms. When we post, people may give their opinion solicited or unsolicited,it is up to you(reader) on how you will take it.

There are some responses in the threads here in the Philippine forum and international forum that you may feel glad, thankful, suprised, annoyed, disappointed, challenged and probably feel insulted.

This what makes this site different and diverse.

As a member, at the very start we are here to find answers to our inquiries and to be informed, let us not allow petty or unreasonable remarks to spoil the intentions of this site to bind nurses globally.

Happy holiday in advance and Godbless ALL nurses.:D

well i think it should be addressed to "all" and not just to "filipinos"..you said it yourself, this site is allnurses.com ,not fewnurses.com ....even if you go to other forums, there are still "petty" and less sensible comments there...

This is the Philippine sub-forum that is under the International Forum and therefore addresses concerns about nurses in the Philippines and from the Philippines.

This forum is not read just by other users of this site, but each and every post can be Googled all over the world almost instantly.

The issue is also that there is a very large number of unemployed RNs from the Philippines, close to 1/2 million by the counts that I have recently seen, so there are more posting about not having a job or then there are those that want special requests made for them when they do not wish to follow the requirements of other countries. So this is why you may see some of the comments that you do on this site.

It is not any concern of any other country, nor any requirement of theirs that any nurse that wishes to work there must auotmatically be accepted and licensed there. Same applies to nurses from every other country as well. One must first meet licensure requirements before they are going to be able to be considered for any type of visa. Trying to take a back road in or short cut should not be considered acceptable behavior for any country and it is not. Yes, there is a significant job shortage for RNs in the Philippines, but that is not the responsibility of anyone else nor of any other country to address that. it starts at home first. Instead of people coming here and complaining, they need to get together with others and do something about it. Be constructive instead of criticize. I have started threads here to give ideas to what can be done to make things different and start to change things, but only a few have listened or have done something.

It needs to start with one person and then move on, or things will never get done.

This is the Philippine sub-forum that is under the International Forum and therefore addresses concerns about nurses in the Philippines and from the Philippines.

yes,i know that this Philippine forum addresses those who are in Phil but my point is that the issue of posting "less sensible" comments(as some call it) is not just an isolated case here in phil forum. It can also be found in other subforums therefore it should be addressed to all and not just to us..Its as if we are the only ones who talk nonsense here..:zzzzz

If you think that a post or a thread is just nonsense, then report it.

If you think that a post or a thread is just nonsense, then report it.

Seeing a post that is "nonsense" is ,in my own opinion, not enough grounds to report it to you moderators..not unless when it is offensive and foul in content, then by all means i will really report it....What appears nonsense to me may not be nonsense to the one who posted it..Same thing that goes out to people who view our posts as "nonsense"..What you think as "nonsense" may not be nonsense to us.
