I keep trying to repeat this in a mantra-like way every time I have one of those moments where I regret the path I am on and the last 3 years of my life.
This degree will be worth it someday. Nursing is a good career.
I repeat it every time I have to go to work as a CNA/Sitter when I have a BSN and a BA.
I repeat it every time I look at my teeny weeny paycheck.
I repeat it when I get student loan statements in the mail.
When I get the 15th rejection email of the day.
When I feel hopeless and worthless.
When I am crying in the shower.
When I work all night and sleep a couple of hours a day because I cannot afford daycare on a CNA's salary.
Right?

Today, I overheard a group of student nurses at starbucks trying to make a joke out of nursing. They said, "IF YOU DON'T LIKE SOMEONE, TELL THEM TO GO TO NURSING SCHOOL."
After I got my coffee, I thought in today's economy....it true.
Hope it get better for all of us.

Ha! It's true. Tell your worst enemies to go to nursing school if you want to see them crash and burn. After 8 months of searching for a job, I am starting to smolder and the flame is going out. I hope it will be worth it someday, but I can't guarantee it. Good luck to all of us.
