I have been an Rn for 2 years working in a hospital on a med/onc unit for the last year. I could realy use some tips on how to go about this. Do I apply for jobs first, or apply for my texas license first? Realy want a job before we move though. Help! What steps do I take, and please Ill take any advice because Im a rookie folks.

Apply for your license first then start applying for jobs right away. I'm in Longview, 2 hours east of Dallas, send me a PM or email if you have any questions about this area.

Good luck

You will want to apply for Texas RN licensure by endorsement while you are still living in Missouri so that you can already have the TX license in your possession before you relocate. The process of endorsing your Missouri license into Texas might take several weeks or longer, so you'll need to get an early start if you are serious about moving.

New grad about 20, after that 21-22 starting range, then more depending on experience and credentials.
