Hello everyone!

So I absolutely love Home Health but these past few years have been rough, to say the least, and we are still dealing with staffing issues to the point that patient care is suffering. I’ve been in HH for close to 7 years now and my life has shifted a bit to include a part time job, not nursing related.

Issue is, HH does not really give me the time and balance Id like in life. I still bring charting home, an SOC still takes 1.5-2 hrs to complete and I’m just tired of spending my nights working after working all day. I’m also tired of being on call during the week and working weekends with a heavy caseload.

I did recently get my WCC which is awesome and don’t know if I should try to pursue something of that nature like an outpatient wound clinic? Guess I’m just looking for some advice if I should leave and what type of nursing job to go to that will give me more balance/ a life outside of work? Has anyone else here left HH for another form of nursing?

Thank you!

Hhhhhmmmm......

If the profit-maximization of the company leads to an endangerment of the patient, it´s a mandatory reason to leave.

In such a case I had the luck to find a better company. (Still in HH)

You might like wound clinics. Mostly 9 to 5 Mon to Friday, no weekends,  no paperwork at home.
