what would you think of a pay freeze?

this is happening for all of us, at an outpatient clinic and applicable to everyone including doctors. The physicians are very nice people but seem very conflict averse so have not taken charge to speak about this other than oh yeah it's happening. Don't know the future plan.

What would you think of this move? similarly strapped non-profit clinics in the area have NOT instituted a pay freeze, at least not for the clinicians working there. There has been a slight fall in patient numbers but still way too many administrative type positions continually being justified. Just doesn't seem to add up.

...did you mean unless or until?

Our physician group which includes midlevels and physicians had our bonuses taken away last year and pay/comp model raises delayed a year. Finally got raises but still no bonuses this year either. Also had layoffs throught hospital system, so no complaining here. I'm with the rest that are happy to have jobs. I wouldnt want to be in management as this always seems to get top heavy then they lay off and start over again. Its always nice to get a raise but these days with lower reimbursements and non-paying patients its getting harder for primary care groups to get ahead. We still have good benefits and health insurance.
