The wait is over...for the nclex, now when can I work?

Published

I just got my results for the nclex pn this morning and thank GOD I passed:D. I walked into that test confident that I would do well but walked out feeling like I needed a drink *wine. The last two days of waiting has been sickening:barf01:. I already have a job but they won't let me work licence pending. Does anyone know how long it takes to get your licence in Illinois? AHH, now I got one day to relax until the hell of school starts all over again to finish my RN :onbch:.

congratulation!!! Not sure in regards to your question about license in Illinois but you definitely deserve that drink! again, congrats :)

Congratulations. Does Illinois have an online Nursing board that allows you to log on and find out your license number. Here in Nevada, I failed twice and was totally against paying for the results twice before and was insistant on waiting for my results to be posted online by the Nursing board. It took about 10 days from the date of my test for the Nursing board to post that I passed. It felt like the longest 10 days of my life, but I passed. Two times I paid for the quick results two times I failed. This time I didn't pay and I passed. I know that is really crazy but that is what I did. I know in Nevada that as long as your name has a license number on the Nursing board you can go to work. Even though you don't actually have the license in hand. I took my boards on December 19th and I have yet to receive my license in hand. Here, all that matters, is the posted nursing board site with my license number. Congrats on passing wish I had a job!

I check for my name on the Illinois department of regulation web site every day. I hope this doesn't take more than two weeks. Thanks for your support.
