Since applications have opened, I started this thread for those who are also planning on applying!

If we graduated from their AE-DNP, are we able to become a CRNA? I know the concentration is for PMHNP, PCPNP, or AGCNS. Which are not Nurse anesthesia, but I'd still hold a DNP?
Thanks in Advance!
As far as I can tell, to become a CRNA, one must attend a doctoral program that is specific to that specialty. Those programs are highly competitive and typically require at least a BSN and 2-5 years experience working in critical care. I don't know of a bridge program that trains existing DNPs. Maybe those will pop up at some point, but as the DNP requirement is new, I can only find full-on specialized doctoral programs.
Could anyone shed light on the AE programs? I am very interested in applying to the AE-DNP CNS program. I was unable to find much about it other than whats on the website. Could anyone share their admission stats or tips related to the AE programs. Also how were the interviews? I am a current rising senior at UT in the Plan II Honors program and WGS. My largest clinical interest is maternal and women's health.
