Hi everybody, I thought I'd create a thread for those who are applying to the UBC BSN program for the 2023 application cycle. Please feel free to drop any questions and share your background/experiences! ?
I'm #70 on the waitlist, so definitely don't think there's hope on that one. I think my supplemental application cost me. Casper ranking was 1, supplemental ranking was 4, and overall admission ranking was 3. (Funny thing, last year my overall admission ranking was 2 and I didn't even get on the waitlist.)
Best of luck to those higher on the waitlist! Let us know if/when you get offers!

Wow it seems like there were a lot of people who applied again, and who knows! Maybe you might! Fingers crossed for you!!
Also to double check; the alternative list = waitlist right?

Definitely does! At least they also increased the number of seats. And thanks for the good wishes!
Yes, alternative list = waitlist.
Hi All
I haven't posted about my results yet because I've been processing as many of you are too, I imagine.
I got 29 on the waitlist, my stats came in as: Casper 2, Supplemental 2, and overall admission ranking is 3.
I do not have a previous undergrad, but I have over 2 years worth of university credits and GPA is roughly 3.9 which I had to calculate on my own since I attended 3 different schools. I also have a lot of W's on my transcript, so I am relieved to know that hopefully? they won't follow me forever.
I have pretty strong EC's with deeply personal connections to them, so I honestly think that was a big part of my overall application.
I'm not sure if anyone wanted to know this, but I hope it is informative for some!
Good luck to everybody, and congrats to those who got in. ?
Hi everyone!
I got waitlisted (#92) and will not get a seat this year but I thought it could be helpful for me to share my stats for any future applicants ? hopefully this can help someone!
Here are my scores that got me to be waitlisted as #92...
Supplemental: 3 (I had some recent hospital volunteering and healthcare-related work experience among some other short and long-term community roles, but I think they were looking for more and I def have room to grow! Also I did not have a degree and I have just finished my 2nd yr of undergrad)
GPA: 3 (Mine was 83.5% based on my last 30 credits)
CASPer: 4 (Unfortunately my CASPer test did not go as planned and I scored in the 4th quartile so I already knew I had very low chances of getting in this year LOL)
I know it can be crushing to not get the result you might have hoped for BUT I think this can be used as an opportunity to grow and reassess where you are at! For me, this whole application process was a big learning experience haha but I am super excited for those who got in! Congrats you guys ❤️

Guess not ? hopefully that doesn't mean that there's less spots for us on the waitlist, but just an indication that they're taking their time with everything ?

Looking at last years thread, at least 45 people got off the waitlist. Could people on the waitlist please keep updating this thread when they get accepted so people have an idea of how the waitlist is moving.
