I'm working on the app now! Nervous about the Kira Assessment... I wonder if it's a new thing they are trying out because I couldn't find any info from past forums.

4-6 weeks anxiously waiting to see. Mine cut me off for my Kira assessment too and I didn't feel great about the essay...hopefully the rest of my application makes up for the Kira assessment.

Can anyone give insight to this Kira Assessment? What is asked and how long do you get for each question? Thank you!

It's a way for them to interview more candidates asynchronously because there's only so many spots in the synchronous interviews which is also done through Kira and only 20 minutes long. The Kira Assessment has a test bank of interviews questions so you won't know what you get. It's all EI questions. They give you the question, you have 1-2 minutes to prepare and ~2-3mins to record your answer. It's a one time thing, can't go backwards. In total there's 3-4 questions to record and 1 essay question. The essay you have 3 minutes to prepare and I think 10 minutes to write.  Overall it took 45min-1hr to complete. It's not bad at all, just practice your interview skills specifically recording yourself on the computer you will be using to get more comfortable. Practice your "Whys" and look up YouTube videos/articles about Kira, it's used a lot in all industries.

Thanks for all of the info you provide. How are you liking the program so far?

I just interviewed at another university on Thursday and then got a phone call today that I'm accepted.

This means I'll be rescinding any possible interviews here (especially since the program coordinator will be at my university for a talk next month)

Wishing you all the best of luck! And hopefully, we'll all meet at conferences someday!

You all got this!

Which one you got accepted it if you don't mind me asking?

Anybody got an interview  this year ?

Specializes in CVICU.

I got an interview as well!

Can this program be completed from another state?? I live in NJ and I'm unable to relocate. Thanks.

Look at section titled State Authorizations.  The answer is a qualified yes....but you have to travel to where the clinical sites are when you get into clinical phase (18 months in).  Currently there are no sites for UA in NJ.

Are there any graduates or current students of the program whom are available to sharing a bit of insight? Every reply would be much appreciated!
