Hello everyone. I just have to share that on my first nursing exam I got a 84%. This is a B- in my program, but the highest grade in the class was an 86%, so I think I did O.K.. There was even a few in the 50's. I just hope I can take the experience and do better on my next exam. How is everyone else doing?

Best of luck to you Tracy. The worst part was we took our exam on Friday and didn't get the results back until today. We had the whole weekend and up until today to feel sick over it. So yeah, I'm just so glad this one is over with.
Thanks, I'll sure need it! Fortunately, our instructors will grade the tests right after we finish taking them. I'm glad because I couldn't bear to wait over the weekend :chuckle

Good job on the grade! We had our first exam on Monday and I got a 78, which a 78 is passing. I studied my rear off all weekend, but I guess my nerves got to me. I'm taking it as an experience, it was the first test and I WILL DO BETTER NEXT TIME!! The grades ranged from 62 to 100, looks like I'll try to study with the A+ students!!

Good Job! I had my first 2 tests last week. I got an 88% on pharm and a 92% on skills. Our school follows the basic 90-80-70 grade scale, although anything below a C is failing. Pharm grades ranged from 96 - 58. I'm glad I was in the high part!

That sounds good to me!
First exams are always a toughy, you never know what to expect and I always get so nervous and excited about what it will be like.
I got an 86% on my first exam, avg. was an 80% so I feel good about that. But we just had our second exam a few days ago and I don't think I did so hot. I don't know what my problem was. I studied for two weeks for that test and feel/know that I blew the really easy-basic questions, if that makes any sense. I don't think I did any worse than a low B but I am just disappointed in myself.
Well, there is always the next exam............................................

I know how you feel, nursing exams are so different. For all other classes I was able to walk out thinking I did good or I did bad. With nursing exams its hard to tell. I was just so mentally exhausted when I walked out of there, that I had no clue as of how I might have done. Getting that grade is so relieving. Don't be so hard on yourself, I think we're all getting used to the fact that nursing exams are just different. Good luck everyone and keep your heads up.

That's wonderful, Jen2! Congratulations!
My first nursing exam was two weeks ago and, to my disappointment, I scored a 77.5. Passing is 80. I felt I'd studied as hard as I could. Anyhoo, went and talked to my instructor who, well, showed me that what I was getting with my own study habits was quantity time instead of quality time. I took her suggestion and altered some of my routine and it worked!
We had our second exam today and I missed 6, scoring an 88. I am so happy!
I just took my first major test today and got a 88. I'm very mad at myself because I went back and changed 2 answers I'll never do that again.
