:w00t: I GOT THE JOB!!! :w00t:

I can't believe it!!! I just talked to my new boss and she said that personnel would be getting back to me today!!!! HOORAH!!!! I'm putting my 2 weeks notice on June 15th!! Thanks to all for the support and well wishes. This feels like a new beginning and the change I was needing. Good luck to those who are waiting for the job offer or who are looking for a change. You can do it! I have been sooo burned out in the job I'm in right now with the pt load that has been placed on all of us. My new boss said, "I have to warn you, we are 5:1 right now - and I don't want to scare you off." ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? - 5:1 would be a TOTAL vacation from what I've been doing. I work 10-12:1 right now. YIPPEE! Now, I'm not crazy, there is a certain amount of crappola that comes with every job, and I'm sure this one will be no exception, but it never hurts to take a chance!! I'm so happy!!!

Can I add to the happiness? :biggringi :balloons:

I got accepted into the ICU!!! WOO HOO! I have wanted to do critical care since I graduated nursing school last year (did my preceptorship there). I have mixed emotions since the unit where I am at now is where I have been (and got my start) for 2 years (1 yr PCA, 1 yr RN). It will be night shift (I work days now) but it's a foot in the door!! Still haven't gotten a "transfer date" yet. Gave a 30 day notice, but at our hospital, mgmt can hold RN's for up to 60 days! I hate long goodbyes!!
