Hi all,
I am applying to the Graduate Entry MS program at Ohio State University. Has anyone completed this program, and if so - any insight about it? I posted in midwifery about it, and no one responded...that is the area I am specifically interested in.
Thank you!

I am in the NP program at OSU but I am a nurse so I didn't do grad entry. I'm also doing Acute Care so I don't know how helpful I would be. Any specific questions?

I'm in the grad entry program - CNL track, but I've just begun. I can help with application and first semester questions since that's all that I've completed.
I will say it's been great so far!
Hi - thank you! I am glad it's going well so far! Do you mind sharing what you undergrad gpa/experience/etc was? I am super nervous that my 3.0 gpa is not going to be high enough, though I do have a ton of experience and good recommendations... hopefully that will help a bit. Did you have an interview?

Hey! I'm also applying this year for the FNP program. I went to an info session in June and they said the average GPA was around a 3.5. They also said that the essay was really important, so it sounds like it would be possible to make up some ground there.
I did my undergrad in athletic training / sports medicine and had a 3.2 that I brought up to the 3.5 area by redoing classes and getting good grades in new ones that I took. Interviews are not part of the application process. I would highly recommend the info sessions because I've heard of changes to this year's application process, but I can't confirm them and don't want to spread false statements.
I would get in contact with JM who is the grad program outreach contact if you haven't already. She was AWESOME when it came to these types of things and any other application questions.
I will give you the heads up that because OSU's graduate school is the one who grants our MS at the end of the program, we have to follow their grade requirements which states that passing for any course is a 3.0 (80%).
Hope this was helpful and don't hesitate to ask other questions. It might take me a little while to get back to them since I'm still finding my semester balance of class work and sleep.
