The MI Chain of Command

I have came up with a chain of command process with some research as I figured it'd be good to have for test and in future use! Does this sound right? What should be added/changed

>Activate Cardiac Response Team to ER

>Bring patient to exam room

>Ensure ABC's are OK

>Immediately obtain a 12 lead EKG

>Assess pt's S&S, Vitals, OLD CARTS, Pt hX (CHECK FOR PACEMAKERS), allergies

> Apply nasal cannula at 4L on 100% if O2 is less than 95%

> Have pt chew 325mg Aspirin

> Administer spray of nitroglycerin q5 minutes MAX 3. If pain is still there consider morphine.

> Obtain labs (Troponin, CK, CK-MB, Myoglobin) STAT

> Put in a second line if needed.

> Administer meds ordered. (Carefully watching platelet counts[heparin] and/or a goal of PTT 50-70secs)

Interventional Therapies if needed...

Just a caution re: nitro- did you consider when you wouldn't administer? (Think medications and type of MI). You would need a doctors order for medications as well.

Abcs should be your first intervention
