The Letters of Recommendation for Applications

Published

Still got a year to worry about this kind of stuff, but hey, why not start now! When looking at applications for nursing programs, many want that letter of recommendation from a few people. I'm guessing you can't or shouldn't have a family member do one for you. How did you go about this step. Did you go to a teacher, a family friend, a co-worker? Trying to keep a heads up now with teachers and if I should keep any of them in mind for the future. Just one of those steps that I'm not too certain about.

I was required to turn in two letters of recommendation, one academic and the other non-academic. I had my writing class instructor and my supervisor at work each write me one. Good luck :)

i did my references from past employees/clients and teachers. be super prof. about it- send in manilla envelope, typed properly, and DONT forget the thank you card for their time :) i got amazing letters and happened to send my request letter to a professor that let me know they had needed my kind words during that time. every one i chose was someone i had built a relationship with and was able to put something about that in my request letter.

Do you have a supervisor or a client that you have worked with that would be willing to write something about you? good luck in your ventures!!
