Hey I have an idea---actaully I was inspired by the practice quiz threads.

For those of us that are about to take our dosage test, how about we post our practice questions on this thread for extra practice.

How does this sound?

Just an idea. Let me know if anyone is interested, and I'll post some of the ones that we were given for practice.

1. You shouldn't be giving demerol, it sucks

2. pretty weak dose for q 12, find that patient a new md.

3. Nobody gives pcn IM anymore, again, new doc time

4. No route, not a valid order

5 1 gram tid is a much better dosage.

:rotfl: Bwaaahhahahaha!!! :rotfl:

Hmmmmm.... i'll give it a whirl but only to assess whether or not this dose of prednisone I'm on is still pushing on my "stupid" neuroceptors..... ;) ==wish me luck.

1. 12.98 or 13 minnums

2. 125 mcg into 500 mcg = 4 mcg, then 0.5 mg (500 mcg) / 5 ml (1 tsp) = 0.8 ml

(PS that's usually an SL route....but ask before you give!)

3. 1.6 ml

4. 275 mg/dose

5. 2.3 cc (4.6 ml vial, containing 5 gm total; 1/2 of 5 = 2.5, give 1/2 the vial?)

O.k. If you don't want to know the answers, then don't read this post. If you do.......

1. 13 minims

2. 1.3 ml

3. 1.6 ml

4. 275 mg/dose

5. 2.5 cc

O.k. Now, y'all post your examples. I take my dosage test on Monday, and I need all the practice I can get.

We took our dosage test today, and I scored a 105!!!!!!!

I'm so excited. I can start administering oral medications this week. Woo hoo!!!!!
