The Difference between "Scrub" pants and "uniform" pants?

My school uniform is requiring us to wear "uniform" pants...no further explanation other than "no scrub pants, no drawstrings".....

My question?

What is the difference?

As a CNA student I had Dickies pants that were elasticized waistband...these were considered "uniform pants" (the program was at the same college I am taking my ADN at) but the same pants in "white" for the ADN program are found in the "scrubs" section of the uniform stores....

So what the h-e-"double hockey sticks" is a girl to do about this?

(As if the see-thru-ness of white pants isn't big enough of a problem to deal with)

TIA!

Great! I will definitely go look for some neutral color Hanes! What I would probably have to do is get one pair first and make sure they are comfy and then buy them in bulk! Wal-Mart, here I come!

I might also invest in some support hose in neutrals too...I probably won't even think about wearing them until mid-November (I live in Las Vegas... approaching fall we are still battling triple-digit temperature) but it does get cold enough to wear them later on closer to winter.

I also read on another post that those support hose and leggings totally help with varicose veins and sore muscles and I would love that.

OH, and about the comfy Hanes...I bought a few when I was pregnant and on those days when you feel just a bit heavier than normal...I run for those panties before anything else!

Thanks for the help guys and the laughs ;)

Looking at a pack of 6 white briefs (fruit of the loom I think) - just got them at Walmart a few days ago- tried a pair on- hate them!- but will wear them under my white pants- No way I would be wearing a thong under my clinical pants- I want a full second layer of protection between hospital germs and any open orifices.

I wear granny panties to work. I wouldn't want a thong up my butt when I'm rolling, changing, transfering, etc. a pt.

Peaches makes a very nice white uniform pant that is no iron, and non-see through. It has a regular waist position, with a wide band elastic, The legs are straight and neat looking, but are never too tight, regardless of what position I have to get into.
