The best way to study for Pharm

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had some advice about studying the meds. I have the most difficult time trying to study for the meds, some of the names are difficult to pronounce and plain and simple I cannot remember a lot of them. AHHHHHHH!!! I took my test and that's the only part that I totally failed in. Does anyone have a system to remember the meds or a book that's helpful. Thanks in advance.

I know this probably doesn't answer your questions or even help but now that I think about I didn't have not one med questions this time on my test. This was my 3rd time taking the test. I think if you get into the higher questions meds won't be a problem. But the book I found that made everything kind of come together in regard to meds was the Saunders NCLEX review. If you can remember the classes of drugs and the main side effects for the classes you won't really need to remember specfic drug names.

This site has a convenient and easy-to-remember breakdown of different drug classifications. I wish I'd found it earlier!! I had five med questions about drugs I'd never heard of and not the first clue what they were, why they were prescribed...nada.

That is a nice site! Thank you.

Thank you very much for your response!!!

I took my NCLEX today, and I have talked to several of my friends who have also recently taken their exam. None of us really got a lot of pharm questions... probably 5 at the maximum.. if that. I prepared by knowing the basic drugs... ones you see given a lot. And know familiar endings because you'll be able to pick up on what kind of drug it is to know the side effects.
